Mine would be 1. Play the songs as you have reahearsed them. 2. Play them in the order they are in on the set list 3. Have a spare drum key 4. Watch out for the drunk person slopping their drink everywhere!

i would add. think about how you are going to set up and agree . We normally start back to front. Ie Gantry, PA Drums then everything else.

Had the singer once during a gig say to the guitarist, play the opening to Duality by slipknot. So they do. Me and the drummer look at each other and have barely heard the song let alone have a clue about what key it is in or what notes or rhythm to play. The singer thinks he is Slipknot on stage at Download everyone else in the band think we are more like Bad News as Monsters of Rock. What a car crash that was!!!

I have a really old version of cubase and have heard the wonders spoken of reason / record. Essentially I want to record rehearsals and also hopefuly some fairly decent home recordings. Is there a way to try reason /record out without paying for it? And is this suitable for what I need? Ta Mike

I tune on the fly and transpose as well. One song I tune A, Ef, A Df, Gf. I would recommend getting a fiver and getting used to the change. You could also bung a capo on?
