Will definately have to try one out. I am not sure when I will next be over at Brighton way. Is it possible to collect during working hours as I am sure I could find something I need to do over that way as I work for WSCC ;-) Thanks Mike

Thanks for replying. I am in Chichester on the south coast and regularly gig in Bognor, Portsmouth and Southampton. Is the compact big enough to take the MB on top or would it be the other way round? Thanks Mike

Hi Alex I have a Jeff Berlin Combo and need an extension cab as it is not quite loud enough for gigs. Do you have anything in your armoury that would sit nicely with this? Just out of interest can you get your cones in MB yellow? Many thanks Mike

Well, it would appear I was trying the right thing, but toching the lead to the pot was not a good enough connection. One blob of solder solved the problem. Woo hoo. I shal be using the bass at our gig tonight at the Admiral Drake in Portsmouth. Many thanks to those who responded. Mike

Thanks for responding. It is a black wire that I presumed was an earth. There are about a million wires hidden in this thing!!!! Not sure what to try next???? Thanks Mike

Hi Gang Does anyone know anyone or have reasonable knowledge of how active pick ups work. My bass failed at soundcheck at the last gig. Luckily I took a spare along with me. Upon inspection I have found a black wire that has come disconnected. I have touched it onto where I think it has come off (on the volume casing), but this does not solved the problem. I am in the Chichester area of West Sussex (South Coast) and there is a beer in it for whoever can help ;-) I do have a photo I can email, but can't work out how to place it onto here? I have the fieldy K5, with 5 different knobs on it. All seem to do the same thing differently. The band hate it when I take the mid out, but it is an awesome instrument. We play Freak on a leash in B flat and I think it is the same as the original. Cheers Mike

I used to play mainly guitar and have not got over using picks. I have tried but it is just built in. I use Dunlops Green 0.83, same as Lacuna Coils bassist. Thanks for the heads up guys. Mike

The other option could be to learn the song and then retune your bass to what ever key they are playing in. Make sure you have a chat with the band before hand and see what key they are in. We play everything generally a semi tone down, aprt from a couple of slipknot numbers / stone sour that are in the same key as going lower would be crazy/ Cheers Mike

I bought the berlin from Monz. Love the sound (and weight) But would like the highs to travel a bit better so really want some 10s. Anyone any suggestions that will look good?

Hi Guys Can anyone tell me if a Mark Bass 2 x 10 traveller will stack nicely with a Jeff Berlin combo. I assume the combo would have to go on its side? Also should I go for a 4 ohm or 8 ohm? Thanks in advance Mike
