2. Ill give you guys vote too. any thing so long as Nigel Dunne gets nowt
 3. Take the point about Hugh Laurie, being famous and pushing others out, but I thought his playing was great.
 4. Ok then, Ill give it a go thanks Pete!! W still dont know why its happening in the first place though
 5.
Im in the midlands mate, If you take measurements from the pick guard to the top of the pickup next to each screw you wont go wrong
I'll try that. if its wrong,I'll seek you out!!again. thanks though W wont be gluing stuff though
 6.
Sorry me again! Im not sure there are any screw springs on them anyway? They have the big ones on the back of the pole pieces instead (maybe aswell?) Whip it out fully and see whats behind is the best bet just make a note of the pup height on both sides first
Thanks Pete! the thing is I'm not sure, and a bit worried about taking things apart cos when I do I end up with more bits than I should!! you aint NW based are you? if not, a trip to MB1 will most likley be the one. he knows most things MM as well ( he's had loads of 'em!) thanks for your help, which I'll refer him to ATB John ps do you know why the F/less is "weaker" output wise? tried the obvious battery/lead/pickup height thing still flummouxed about that too!! wiring is too much for me!! advice much sought thanks
 7. The pickup cover on my MM (circa2005) keeps "moving up" when it does, it chokes the sound. string too close to pole pieces. neck looks straight, it beats the #### outta me whats going on. all is ok when I screw it back but it keeps (independantly) happening, curious as to why ,anyone else have this happen? is it just my luck? seems a bit "twighlight zone" cant work it out!! these are the only pics I have but wonder if they help, its the black, fretted one BTW,the fretless is fine, if underpowered by comparison. Ideas gentelmen?
 8.
Ringo Starr?? Really?? Why?? Still the best music show on TV though, long may it continue.
yes on those two points . Dickkie used to be a good drummer, but bit of a geyt these days.
 9.
That guy with the loop pedal was bloody awful too. What the hell has happened to this show?! Are they expecting us to be impressed by a bloke looping a recording of him making spitting noises, and then layering loops of him FAILING to sing a simple 3rd in tune over the top?
Isn't he a relative of the bloke who has sorted out the day off on friday? well for some of us anyway. looks like him anyways
 10.
My favourite Bee Gee is the one that looks like Aragorn, and my favourite song is Stiffy Cocky Pudding.
11.
According to the oracle of bacon website KYLE EASTWOOD (was in) Honkytonk Man (1982) (with) CHARLES CYPHERS (who was in) Murder in the First (1995) (with) KEVIN BACON! so 2!!
thanks Mr blue. suprised it made it as far as two degrees!
 12. I thought it was Kevin Bacon at first glance ....how may degrees of separation would that be?
 13.
Already commented on her in another thread. Fantastic, and she ever loses her drum throne I'll gladly step in to replace it.
save me looking, which thread?
 14. not just cos shes lovely!!(you sexist bast....whats wrong with being sexy?) but (belive me, the playing!! great!) wow!! proper groove where every note was thought about and tight, no blagging, but commitment, and no gratuitous "fills" worked for me that did. any drummers reading this, that was a text book "of how to get the gig" performance.
 15.
You would have to measure the resistance using an meter. By the way (and please don't think I'm insulting your intelligence here), the first thing I would do here is plug the basses in and tap the polepieces with a small screwdriver to make sure both coils are working. I'm sure you've done that, but might as well mention it just in case.
No Ste this is the sort of thing I need to know so thanks! btw the other thing I wanted to ask is the pick up cover keeps "creeping up " (fretted basss) so I have to screw it back down now and again all seems fine and straight with the neck, so any ideas on that too?
 16.
I think its only the pikey versions that have the pups wired in series
17.
That's what my money's on. Which of these looks like you basses pups? btw stevie : that's an awfae strange accent fur a Dorset boy.
Ooh dont know about wires, all sealed in, so how do I check? and...... stupidly (and obviously) I need to check battries will that make a huge difference though? ( soz to be numb)
 18. I have 2 MM 'rays fretted and fretless fretless is circa 1990 and fretted circa 2005 the fretted is way louder than the fretless, by a mile, is there something I should know? oh, BTW 2 band eq fretless and 3 band eq fretted is that the "thing"? thoughts gentelmen?
 19.
Liked both equally with both pups, but much preferred bass 2 with solo bridge and slap tone (maybe some sort of Warwick?) Do we find out what they are? Edit: Haha, what you get for skimming a thread! Surprised that the first bass was a budget chinese thing (although LOVE that someone compared it to their Sadowsky, confirming my beliefs regarding jazz copies ) but to my ears the differences in quality between the 2 in the second and third set of clips were quite apparent, i had a hunch it was a Warwick
Yep skim reading, leads to misunderstanding dosent it Kev? ok, noone compared it to "their" Sadowsky, the point was made about listening rather than Knee jerking about very expensive guitars being best ( well thats what I thought any way) it woul appear your right though, jurys out onthis one
 20. Absolute agreement here too, I don't like 'em. I find the whole idea embarrasing and contrived, even when you get a "real one". If you worked in a office all day and as soon as you got home a few gobby folk turned up in your garden looked through and said "go back to work we want to see you do more work more work MORE WORK!!" ...well.... know what I mean?...I know its not quite the same, but I'm close.

 22. bass no 1 gets my vote too I bought a guitar(6 stringer) of the same make and its a good one as well. just goes to show. this has been a very intresting post to my mind. roscoe/shuker/sei/wal/warwick/musicman .....£130 (Jap/korean/chinese?) quid, hands down winner (as long as the strings are new) off to open an Ebay account to sell, stuff and and then buy me own cheap "jazzzcopyfied" thang and be squids in!!
 23.
Now THAT'S a good line ...
Isnt it? one for the "quote" thread in a way, god bless her
