5.
I'm sorry,it's great that you're locking with the new drummer, but I really have a problem with referring to them as 'Knuckle draggers' and 'Neanderthals',even if it is in jest. Like I've said many times before, many of the best musicians that I know are drummers.
Oh God,.. Its only supposed to be a laugh!! I hope you dont fall off that horse Mr D it seems like its long way down for you

 8. I think I felt sommat had gone wrong at this point and was blaming the dots or the Drummer. Well it was the drummer, not my reading.

 15. Bad Idea, IMO casters have a habit making a very annoying rattle at certain frequencies. better off with a good old flight case which doubles as a "stand" or cheaper option, homemade fitted trolley option (if you get me, plonk on to move?) chucked back in the van apres arrival I've tried all of above casters on cab? nine danke
 16.
No, not a fan of flats I'm afraid. They sound too dead to my ears. I like a bit of punch.
+ 1000000000 I hate flats, ruin a good guitar IMO euchhh! flats? schmatts

 20.
A good friend and fantastic musician/bass player once said to me: "Be mindfull of where your notes stop/ give the notes their proper value". I used to play everything on the back p/u Bap bap. After his wise words i started on the path of getting a great feel and being a more supportive bass player.
I like that, and thegreeks "elephant" one
 21.
I am about to nip out to the hardware shop to grab a drill bit and a woodscrew and move my stap button to the lower horn of my P-bass clone (a 'vintage', FWIW) I tried out the arrangement using one of the scratchplate screws near the end of the horm as a makeshift strap button and it seems to allow me to play with a much less crooked wrist = less pain I was wonering if anyone else did this/has tried this at some point?
I think I know what you mean, but I'd say dont do it. leave it and adjust your wrist, Id say. won't it cause your guitar to "lean" forward? I'm assuming your right handed and its a right handed guitar but even the whole thing left handed..?... not sure I've got you. whats causing the Pain? Tommy Cooper:Patient to Doctor: "Doctor, it hurts when I do this" (moves arm up and about) Doctor: "well don't do that"
 22. God, bit of shock that. not seen him for years. but, too, too bad. good jouney Ade
 23.
I'll have to disagree. I've owned both and they share very little in common apart from a basic similarity in the body shape.
Well...ok that was pushing it a bit but,you get me? different basses have thier own signature regardless of player FX etc I know there's a you tube clip out there, where some guy ID's a good few different basses played by Mark King ( I think ) on dutch telly, without looking. I'm sure someone else here has seen it. and I do think most of us could do the same. having said that,....... ...Id have sworn Flea played a MM 'ray rather than (alleged wal) on that early chillipeppers album (which was it?) So...
 24. Well no its not, a stingray sounds like a stingray, a jazz like a Jazz a JD does (nearly) what an Alembic does ...a P bass sounds like...well...and so on..and so on..... I think OP was talking about what different guitars sound like "dry" as such not about what other enhancements do. there has to be a starting point Try a few out first. FX/eq/studio/enginneers/valve preamps and the rest dont allways equal /make the sound, they shape it. get out there, more young man. Try lots of stuff first. and that
