Mark king simply uses gaffa tape around thumb joint.... though the guy in your clip...?...dont know, I dont think the "ring" is for slapping,its too high up the thumb so,as far as I can see. not doing 'owt ( just jewlery ? I think) great player though!!

I'd say the tru' body one I had was better than the tru' bridge one I have now......dont ask why I sold it.....I still regret it !!

can anyone put me in touch/recommend a place where I get hold of and get a hipshot "d" tuner(and fitted) to a stingray? preferably in manchester or lancashire area in general? also Id like some schaller(?) strap locks, any one selling any? again to match 2 stingray basses. thanks Guys... W

I allways enjoyed Lawrence Cantys stuff (journalistic that is..) in "making music" a free, but suprisingly good magazine from music shops in late 80's ,mostly ads but come good copy!! I think he wrote a kind of, buyers guide to bass type of book too(?) (have I remembered that right?) any way......

One signed band I was in In the early 90s got me loads of free strings from rotosound(?)I think it was. didnt do owt, signed nowt they just turned up!! with managment company,regularly, and were adressed to me, by name. happy days at the time!!.......ceased as mysteriously as it started ....oh well, never got to the bottom of that one... Nice one though eh? OOpps.. hope I dont get a bill now(!!!)
