1. Not trying to be a smartass, but are the E&G strung the wrong way round? or are they supposed to go on that way? honest not trying to be a "know it all" genuinley curious
 2. Thank you Gentlemen. not really thinking of selling, just thought they had "gone out of favour" in the last few years, and ultimatley promised to MB1 (if I keep to my word )
 3. Ive got a 2000 serial number 370 similar to pic post #135. No coil tap or led, good condition (road worn admitedly-though that's no bad thing in my opinion) & status case. Can anyone know what that is worth these days? TA
 4.
I think that used to belong to Gary Huges a "Hair" rocker with some success in Japan 89/92 you tube/google him. One of my ex-guitarists had a beautiful LP junior copy, and the guitarist form my band Delirium has just received his left-handed Explorer. Here's a ropey mobile phone pic:
I think that used to belong to Gary Huges a "Hair" rocker with some success in Japan 89/92 you tube/google him. I played with him in early 80s nice guy. 8. Got to be Mark king (no of course I can't play like him!) I saw him on telly on Radio1 "sight and sound" concert on bbc 2 in about '82 I think. I nearly choked on me tea! I'd never seen anything like it at the time, sure I vaguley knew what slap bass was but talk about taking it to another level (sic) still love all that stuff today. oh and Pino Palladino it was acceptable in the 80's
 9.
No.
Had a look at your MANY basses and know what? that fretless gordy? It used to be mine! when a band I was in in the 80s split it was sold by the manager to recoup some losses and it was right to do so. denfinetley mine custom made, and total one off belive it or not I used to slap on it but mainly used for some japan covers!! lovely to see it again and delighted to see its gone to a good home. can I hear a recoding of it, oh please ... go on.. 10. Hi Chaps, anyone help with this? I recently depped at stockton riverside festival, and literally blew cobwebs off a trace elliot AH500 gp11 markv head (this I did have serviced by reputable guy reccomended on the forum prior to gig) a trace elliot 4x10 (mark v ) and trace elliot 1x15 (mark vi) I had brand new speaker cables too All was well, and due to the very large stage/event I did crank it up a bit, but nothing daft and nothing like it had not handeled (beautifully) in the past.although the lot had lain dormant for some 8 years (apart from a service job on the head as I say) well after 3/4 min the signal went "funny" and then very distorted. luck the engineer was very on the ball, I turned down the stage out put and he kicked a monitor my wa and via DI gave me more than enough to manage the gig( cant tell you how on the money he was!!) so DI was working. It seems very strange to me that both cabs should so tragically die at once (MB1 has graciously tested the head through his cab and no problem there) So any ideas? If I get some new speakers, where from? how much? can I be sure that they will fit the Baffle board/ screw locators on the old TE cabs ,can any one help before I ignorantly shell out for new/2nd hand relacment cabs? there is an incentive gentlemen, to any one interested. currently languishing in the cellar of a pub near me are an even older 2x10 (hi-pass TE mark vi cab) and a gollaith 2x18 TE cab Im not so sure they work or are ok any more as they've been there for 10 years! (bought for me by a long dead record deal) Ive no longer the back or the space to deal with them and any one who could help me out AND collect them... well lets just say Id be very grateful, for now. sorry about rambling too much ( BTW: did check obvious things like all cables and guitar preamp batteries e.c.t.) 11.
Not mine but a mates... honest! He has just got fixed up with new gear and has no need/room to keep his TE 4x10 & 1x15 cabs + one flightcase for the cab but I can't remember which cab. I don't have a huge amount of detail at present but they are the old school big jobbies and IIRC they are vinyl covered. I'll get some pics tomorrow, however if you want to register interest, drop me a PM. He is after £400 for the pair and that will inc' the single flightcase but be warned this is absolutely collection only from his place near Newcastle Upon Tyne!
Im MB1s mate and am interested in Trace elliot cabs, can collect as manchester not TOO far away. whats the score? pics? open to offers? ect?
 12.
Has anyone ever lived with the 1818 cab? It sounds huge but I wonder if it is too heavy to be practical - be nice to hear from anyone who had/has one.
I have a 2x18 and 2x10 series v which is languishing in a pub cellar (probably still) the cabs were bought for me when a particular band I was in had a deal . I really havent the space or back to deal with them any more though the crew at the time didnt really complain about the 2x18. Im not even sure they still work they could go to the happy home of any one who wants them or can help me with a 4x10/1x15 set of cabs (v.vi) that may be blown. I may need replacement speakers and dont really know where to turn. replacement sreakers would need to have the same location screws to fit the cabs The markV AH 500 gp 11 is built like a cheiftan tank and is equally as heavyas one but sounds mint with (working) trace elliot cabs. Can any one help or advise? or should I post else where(first time poster)
