  1. great stuff! It's great to see word is finally getting out about these. It's about time... my throat is close to hoarse 🙂
  2. 1. Yes 2. YMMV, but in my experience it’s incredibly clear in the mix by default because the mids shine. Any EQing I do is subtle just to tweak it to the room, if at all. If you’re an EQ junkie, you might need something more... or think you do, anyway.
  3. No, but they do build them in batches. I guess sometimes they might not have any in stock.
  4. Oh no! London has lost one of its dedicated bass stores! How will it cope? 😄
  5. The only thing that would make me think Fender have lost the plot any more than they already have: if they actively chose to reissue a bass that everyone hated and nobody bought back in the day.
  6. I dunno... they’ve pretty much given up on the ‘iterations’ bit.
  7. $615,000 to you, sir. The total has topped $10,000,000... and there's a fair while to go yet.
  8. ...is underway. It's insane. Strat #001 just went for $1.5m.
  9. I had a weekend in London last summer. Whilst walking across Tower Bridge, I bumped into a musical acquaintance from Leeds who I haven't seen for ages and ages. I had a lovely generic chat with him and his family, who I'd never met before. The conversation was slightly awkward, but I put it down to the randomness, and the bustle of people around us. I messaged him a week or so later to say it was nice to see him... slightly puzzled, he replied to say he was currently in Kefalonia, and had been for the previous three weeks.
  10. Surely Once in a Lifetime. It’s refusal to shift, no matter what, is remarkable.
  11. Given that the whole internet recoiled in disgust when they put triangular pickups on their 5ver, I can’t say I blame them.
  12. Yeah, I agree - stirring music, the joys of family and friends, the rugged beauty of the Scottish Lochs, and a t-shirt with the words 'Joe Dart' printed on the front.
  13. Great player, but why would anyone wear a t-shirt with his name on it?
  14. Mine's absolutely not an issue. The fan is no different to any other similar-specced amp I've owned. That said, I've heard people comment on the volume of the fan in the Walkabout, but that never bothered me either.
  15. When we gigged there we had a fixer (a lovely chap called Mubarak) who reached into a wadge of cash in his pocket whenever anything became problematic. It was an enlightening trip.
  16. i.e. more than many of us will make in a lifetime. Good on him, I say - I'm not a fan of his videos etc, but I have a lot of respect for what he's achieved.. He clearly has some idea of what he's talking about, despite what some here would suggest.
