    Absolutely. I've lost count of the times I've seen an FS ad for a gorgeous bass, only to click it to find out it's got a narrow nut. As you can imagine, the level of disappointment is crushing.

    Very much so. This head isn't a lead sled of yore - it's a very easy lift.

    The Walkabout is a remarkable head. I used one for years with a number of cabs. I'd try different cabs first. If you find you want something in a similar ballpark but with more present mids and more headroom, I recommend the Handbox R-400 - IMO it's a 'Walkabout Plus'.
