  1. So… overpriced, as opposed to junk?
  2. What makes you think of it as junk...?
  3. How would arranging an appraisal overcome that?
  4. If I was spending that much, I’d pop along and have a look at it myself.
  5. Actually, this looks a bit more neutral:
  6. Yep, check out the first 30 secs or so of this:
  7. If your firewood pile is running low, it might be worth a punt provided bidding doesn't top 50p including shipping.
  8. I can kinda take credit for this colour… I wanted something that looked a little like aged LPB, with the effect of nicotine etc., so Adrian had a look around and suggested this. It’s bluey-green. Turquoise.
  9. Did a deal with Will recently, and went as smooth as glass. A great deal, shipping all arranged at his end, and friendly, timely comms. Top lad.
  10. Answer to your question in bold.
  11. It's not as it was when it left the factory. End of story. Shoddy behaviour.
  12. For someone to walk away from a planned tour with a band they've been gigging with for so long at such short notice suggests something more 'unavoidable' than 'shitty'.
  13. I can't imagine anything more depressing than rehearsing to a click.
  14. How does it sound if you unplug it and just listen to it acoustically? Stick your ear on the top horn and see if it sounds mushy unamplified.
  15. Is it boomy, or does it have a lack of fundamental? Does it sound OK acoustically..?
  16. Yeah, let me know if you hear anything. I was in fairly regular contact with Tommy, but I’ve drawn a blank.
  17. The Whistle Test / Lyceum gig is a treasured bit or archive footage amongst fans of the band. Granted it's not A1 quality, but if you found it to be a 'god awful barrage of noise' I suspect it's just not your thing. Rutherford is an underrated bass player. Unfortunately for the last few albums he pretty much phoned the bass parts in.
  18. The thought of having to use a bass with a Fender active circuit makes my teeth itch.
  19. They did. Unfortunately the owner fell ill, and hasn't been heard from in years 😞
  20. I remember the days when you could politely ask an honest question without someone jumping down your throat.
  21. Granted it’s slightly annoying, and I’d rather it wasn’t there, but in what sense has it ruined it? I’m on an iPhone now and I’m managing OK.
  22. I’d argue not for the better. The focus went off the band.
  23. Used both Jnr. and Snr. this weekend. Adore them both.
  24. I’m sure all will be revealed in the book. Anyway, he’d have to go some to come up with a worse one than Steve Hackett.
