  1. Yeah.... unfortunately we don't live in Utopia. Or North Korea :-D
  2. Is the suggestion here that BC shouldn't allow any criticism / joshing? How about if none of us are acquainted with the subject (personally, or via social media), is that allowable?
  3. The practical answer to that is ‘If you don’t like any sort of criticism, don’t perform in public, and don’t post anything on social media.’ It comes with the territory.
  4. This would be assuming all band members are equal. Now there’s a question...
  5. To be fair, he’s put himself out there, so he should probably expect a bit of joshing as well as the good stuff.
  6. I believe they are passed on! No more! Have ceased to be! Expired and gone to meet their maker! Stiff! Bereft of life! Resting in peace! Pushing up the daisies! Their metabolic processes are now history! They're off the twig! Kicked the bucket! Shuffled off their mortal coil! Run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THEY ARE EX-MESSAGES!!
  7. Yeah.. never a big fan myself. A couple of good tunes, padded out with a load of right old nonsense.
  8. Absolutely. All of them apart from his new one, I'd say. Incidentally, the reason I'm on this thread in the first place is because having willfully managed to resist Yes for the best part of 35 years, I've finally succumbed. I've got a bit of catching up to do.
  9. To be fair, as great a live band Floyd were post-Roger, the albums have been pretty weak.
  10. OK... if anyone in or near Tyneside wants to try this out, now's the time to shout up. At some point soon it's going to be going elsewhere in the UK...
  11. This is a shame to hear. I hope it's just a blip.
  12. It’s cheeky. And he certainly shouldn’t lie when asked about the ‘D’. Truth is, can’t see anything in his feedback from aggrieved punters who’ve bought these instruments.
  13. What fate awaits these people? Are these instruments going to fall apart in their hands?
  14. 99% positive feedback. Cheeky or not, he's making people happy.
  15. FWIW, I've got an Olympus E-M5II which I love, but the preamp is a hopeless, hissy mess.
  16. The Zoom comes loaded with compromises that you'll have to work around, and it's no surprise that less-than-stellar low-light performance is one of them. Bear in mind the whole thing costs around the same as an DSLR kit lens. If the lighting is murky, I have to do a fair bit in post. If it's especially bad, monochrome works a treat.
  17. Here's my '67 Limelight relic. It's very, very wonderful.
  18. Hello! That'll be gig volume, I'd say. A lot of it depends on how the drive and feedback is configured, too. They make a big difference. So far I've not encountered any shortage of volume, but I guess VERY loud rock band in a packed pub with no PA support could be a stretch.
  19. I can't argue with that. I tend to chop'n'change during quiet spells.
  20. It's not really tidy though, is it?
