  1. That's interesting.. cheers, Geoff. Did you get a chance to try the LM2 to take the room / volume out of the equation?
  2. Harsh. Kendrick Lamar is (so I'm told) and artist, and therefore open to criticism.
  3. I think there's enough clearance for it to pop out.
  4. I've just asked Leszek about this, 'cos it seems a bit daft if that were the case. His reply began with 'Nonsense!' :-) - he says the valves are inserted at the end of the manufacturing process, and are easily accessible.
  5. Ah, in that case he's all front and no substance :-D
  6. If he's so socially right-on, why didn't he sell the car and get a few homeless people off the street? Or donate it to a charity to auction?
  7. Cheers, Conan! Yep - my R-400 has a vinyl cover, and if the WB-100 was staying with me, the first thing I'd do would be to get one made for that, too. Really it would be to protect the tolex and keep moisture out, but I'm like you - the sight of big glass bottles through the grille makes me slightly paranoid. I guess it is paranoia - guitarists lug these things around all the time without giving it a second thought. I suspect the feedback switch will make more sense at volume. I left it in centre (rock) position most of the time, but during rehearsals I tried it on the 'pop' setting and it felt tighter, almost solid-state. Possibly useful in a boomy room, or at louder volumes. The 'Funk' setting didn't grab me, but I didn't really spend much time on it. Maybe it's a slap thing? Enjoy the rehearsal - don't forget to pull the bass back if you need to, and go easy on the contour (at first, anyway).
  8. What a load of cobblers that was.
  9. I don't really do nerves any more, but I had expected them to make an appearance on the day of the show. Surprisingly, they didn't...
  10. Here's some proper photos of the show and that... https://www.sundayforsammy.org/2018-photo-gallery
  11. Charlie Drake, Peter Gabriel, Robert Fripp, Phil Collins & Sandy Denny. What do I win?
  12. Ha.. that would be nice. I doubt Leszek could take the hit of discounting or giving one away, and if he could, he'd probably be wise to save it for the big-hitters. But you've nailed it - I just love the amp(s) and I think they should have a higher profile*. There's not a lot of comparable kit out there. *See also TKS & Maruszczyk, who I've also previously shouted from the rooftops about :-)
  13. Oh, and the actual lighting was designed by this chap: http://eugeneoconnor.co.uk/
  14. My description isn't missing the DI bit. Look again :-) The mic? I don't know. I leave that to Nitelites. They're one of the most respected in the business, so I assume they know what they're doing :-D There was another SD7 side-stage for monitoring.
  15. See blurry pic for 'after' :-) As far as the DVD mix goes, it's being edited from two shows, each over 3.5 hours long. I don't know how many channels were on the go, but there were two SD7's running in FOH - one for music, one for everything else. My head hurts thinking about it. The lighting was awesome - Shaun is one of the best in the biz... as are Nitelites in general. We're very lucky to have them up here.
