It’s working correctly. Longer posts are easier to read with full paragraph breaks. Its no different to Word, for example.

That popped up in the car on shuffle t'other day - Mrs. WoT & I hadn't heard it for years. Musically it hasn't dated one jot, but we got talking about how the lyrics would be different in 2017. The line quoted above was one of the ones we agreed was 'of the time', and would probably more likely be Russian, Chinese etc. now. I bet Mr. Currie didn't see that coming in 1989...

100% - like you, none of his solo stuff has done it for me, but this album is a corker. He doesn't try to hide the Floyd references, and IMO it's all the better for it.

And if California slides into the ocean Like the mystics and statistics say it will I predict this motel will be standing until I pay my bill The wonderful Warren Zevon.

He still is. His new album is mint.

I had no idea that the world needed this

I enjoy both. A good song is a good song.

'Cos it's creating a paragraph. If you don't want one, press... ...shift + return.

Insane one-man Rush tribute (not that one!)

re: the voice, he sings them so well in the spirit of Geddy, though. I can quite happily listen to him sing the parts without thinking it's forced. I've seen that Tom Sawyer clip loads on FB, and every time I've just thought 'Why?'. It's like the old That's Life clip of a rollerskating parrot. -
P over the P/J configuration, and the benefits of Roadworn

^^Actually, yes. Closer to the 20th fret too. -

No - it's closer to the nut, and further from the bridge (see above pic).. -

Yep, I can confirm the P pickup on the Jake is closer to the neck than my '71 P. -

In the meantime, I've just put this together. It's completely unscientific, but maybe a bit of food for thought.... -

I seem to recall it's slightly closer to the neck when measured from the bridge. I'll check tonight... -
My mind is blown.

I wouldn't write it off entirely, but the decal is dodgy at best.

I'm fairly sure Maruszczyk P pickups are out of position by default - did they move yours for you? -
Hmmm... that's weird! Daft question - when you're searching, are you changing the drop-down to 'all content'..?
-
What kind of thing are you searching for?

Let the music speak for itself?
wateroftyne replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
It has to suit the music. Is the performer all about the songs? Forget the theatrics. It can go too far the other way. IMO Rush, for example. The last few times I found myself thinking... wouldn't it be great if it was just them and a few lights..? -
Don't take it the wrong way - it was just a test. Is it just on the phone you're having a problem, or desktop too?

It might well sound different, but you suggested it'll never sound like a P. I'm not sure I'd agree with that. -

All else being equal, I think the wood and electrics would have a far bigger impact on the tone than a chunk of body being missing. -
That was pretty much immediate...?

I have to say it seems to be flying along for me. Let’s try uploading a couple of pics via 4G...
