How much of this stuff is actually a blood relation to the old TE? It looks to me like people are getting excited about a name and a colour. Happy to be proved wrong, mind.

I used my new one last night for a dep trio gig... a hard-hitting drummer and a guitarist who likes it hot. It was all good fun, and the R-400 was solid and rich. Beautiful.

I love his more trad stuff - '50 Ways to Leave Your Lover' is a great line.

[/quote] I think you're missing the gist of the post somewhat. I think the answer to the OP's post is... some do, some don't. This is partly the reason why parallel solo careers happen, I think.
