1.
They've admitted they have lost it and claim full responsibility. Sellers beware, this is shocking.
That's bad news - sorry to hear it. Although IMO it's not shocking. Shocking would be if they didn't admit it, and didn't claim responsibility.
2. When I told Adrian I wanted something classically vintage for my Jake, he recommended the Haussels. And by golly, he was right. Mind, that's a P/J, not a J.
3. Bumpity bumpity bumpity bumpity bumpity bumpity bump-bump bump!
4.
This. they're just the latest flavour of the month on here. 12 months time the marketplace will be full of them while people all rush to get the next best thing ever.
It'll have to be something cheaper and better quality than a Maruszczyk. I'm not holding my breath, but you never know.
5. The Haussel's are SWEET.

7. I always found the Streamliner (and the TC, and a few similar heads before it) would get lost in the mix too easily, and I'd find myself nudging the volume up on an effort to get some tactile response from it. After a certain volume, when the magic electronic power management kicket in, it would go flubby and lose its shape. Whenever I went back to my Walkabout, AG500 or more trad amp, I'd find I'd have a more authoritative 'present' tone at a much lower volume. It just had more about it. All IME, obviously.
8. The D'addario gang turned up at the North East Bass Bash this weekend, and I was very kindly offered a set of these to try. Cheers, folks! I'll string up my Oly Maruszczyk Jake tomorrow. I usually use the Nickel XLs on my rounds bass - it'll be interesting to see how they compare.
9. I had one of these. Wish I'd kept it.
10. Four? Do you play in stadiums..??
11. Just curious - what's that mark between the E-string post and the tuner? Thank you :-)
12. OK... I'm keen to get my new order in, so I'll now consider posting it. :-)
13.
I turned up, 4 bass`s in the back of the car, stood in the entrance to the room money in hand, people looked round and went back to what they were doing. I turned round and went home.
Sorry to hear that - It's a working rehearsal complex, shop and cafe, so people are in and out all day. The basses might have been better in your hand rather than the car :-)
14.
Ha ha.!! Excellent.
Seriously, she's clearly a great singer, but to my ears the vibrato just sounds forced. I can't help thinking how great it would be if she sang it straight(er). But then, she's successful and famous, and I'm not. My opinion sucks.
15.
Embrace her Vibrato. its her natural voice. Imo she has great power and control. everything i love about a great voice, That and tone. Is why i love Donny Hathawayso much. you like or you don't like that singing style i guess. i can hear what your saying, but tis a very small part of a great sum. would you complain if she was singing for your band.?
I love Donny Hathaway, but none of his vocal tracks sound like they were recorded while he was standing on a washing machine on a spin cycle.
16.
Embrace her Vibrato. its her natural voice. you like or you don't lie i guess.
She speaks like that? My gawd. Poor lass.
17. What's going on with that vibrato? Is the 'on' switch stuck?
18.
but did you notice a significant increase in the low end?
Nope - they're pretty much the same.
19.
How do you compare the 2x S112 vs. 1x S212? Does the S212 retain that midrange character but with extra depth? I noticed the cab is a bit deeper than 2x S12 together.
They're pretty much the same, IMO. Any difference I heard could probably be attributed to the drivers being closer to ear level.
20. I've yet to run out of steam with either my old S112 stack, or current S212, and I've done plenty o'loud pub gigs with no PA support. That said, I don't play in Sunn O))) - if I did, I'd probably double up.
21. The TKS S112 stack shines at the gig - they're not full-range solo bass cabs. They've got clear mids and tight, punchy lows where it counts - if that's your thing, of course. M

23. Hmm.. I didn't get that at all..?
