My stock answer for this: There's dogs and diamonds in every era. '74-'80 can be a bit 'challenging'.

They're really pretty light - IMO, this and the Walkabout are the perfect balance of weight and full-fat tone.

I used it last night at a rehearsal before our run of gigs over the next couple of weeks, and it sounded beautiful. It's definitely a bit more aggressive than my 3TSB, so I've got a nice contrast there. The narrow neck and maple board is something I wasn't really used to, but I don't really think about them now - it just feels great.

Maruszczyk will build one for you for a very reasonable price...

I can't recommend anything post-Counterparts, 'cos I don't really rate it. Plenty of people do, though.

A couple of my bands gig more often than not without a drummer. Generally, the audience come to terms with the fact there's no drummer there pretty quickly. We just do lots with dynamics and make sure it still swings and rocks a bit without a kit behind it. That said, the music can handle it. it's not like we're metal or anything.
