What would you want the 'My content' button to show? Just your own posts? Not that I ever use it, but if you visit the 'new content' page (which I use as my main BC landing page) you can filter it to show just topics you started, or participated in.

FWIW, I spent many years in what was, to me, a micro-head wilderness (RH450 included). I eventually realised: whenever I used a head with a lump of iron in it, I didn't have to turn it up so loud for it to feel 'right' in context. Controversial (or bunkum) maybe, but I can only speak as I find.

The problem with the repro stuff - apart from the colours - is that it's too sharp and focussed. It's just not organic. Here's some old pics of mine, all '71-ish. The colour balance is all off, but you'll get a feel for the pattern:

I completely agree. Most engineers assume you use flats 'cos you don't like being heard.

Another rehearsal with it last night, this time with grumpy old flatwounds on it. It sounded nice and fat, and it's a dream to play...

At the 8.5lbs I was expecting, they would reduce the risk. At the 7.2lbs it turned out to be, they almost certainly avoid neck dive. Mind you, it doesn't feel close to tipping over. I don't know how they've done it....

[/quote] Yep - I noticed you'd been quiet recently! I hope all's grand. It was this side of £900 including shipping. To put in in perspecitive, the far-east production line lower-spec Skyline I linked to in my OP is nearly a grand, and the Fender CS is silly money (and probably more production line, to be honest). Incredible. I forgot to mention, in the early days of the order, I sent Adrian links to examples of his basses that had the kind of sunburst I prefer, and he nailed it. Amazing attention to detail.

I gave it a run out at the local open mic last night, and it was fab. It was pretty low-volume, through a small Markbass combo, but there was lots of growl, lots of tonal variation and no hum from the pickups no matter how they were tweaked. And of course, it's comically light. Looking forward to giving it a shot through something with a bit more welly :-)
