1.
No use having your bass flapping your trousers, your ears aren't on your knees.
How do we know for sure the OP isn't a cricket?
2. Mids, mids, mids. No mids? No hear.
3. I've pretty much given up going to big gigs for this reason, too. The last few Rush gigs I've been to have been dreadful. These days, the purpose of bass in the FOH is basically to rearrange your internal organs. Who cares what notes are being played?
4. Is your drummer too loud? Maybe the guitarist is making a stand...
5.

This setup must makes a sound as big as a planet. The mind boggles.
6. Well.... I started out with two 112s: But I had a need for a separate 212 and 112, so I got this: All of the above sound as good as they look. The tone... the quality... the price... none better, IMO.
7. Hellooooooo.... lovely. The S115 was plenty loud for me driving my Walkabout at 8ohm...
8. Looking forward to the review!
9. Hi all Just popped up on Lakland's FB page. The PJ with blocks is a beauty.
10.
The room is a bog standard rehearsal room with a solid floor, but poor sound in general. I haven't used the ext cab yet.
The Walkabout isn't going to shine in that kind of environment. It needs room to breathe.

12. Here's couple of notables for me... Deacy demonstrating how sloppiness disappears in the mix... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aNogqF7Bac Not bad for a sax player: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z91l_lPz1oc And finally... I'm sorry, Mr. Jones. No matter how much you protest, you did use flats in the old days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ANwQW8aspI
13.
Getting a great tone at home is pointless if you play in a band. I found that out by spending ages setting things up, getting to a rehearsal & finding I didn't like the sound & put everything to flat.
Tru dat. I had a loan of a fairly large 15" recently. When I was tinkering with it in the living room, it sounded weak and boxy. But at the gig, where it had room to breathe, it was completely different. It opened right up and sounded huge.
14. As previous posters have mentioned, that lump of iron is responsible for more than just weight...
15. I always found the WA12 to be a bit flubby around the bottom. I imagine the 15 would be a bit of a struggle in the wrong room...
16.
The blurb indicates they are the cabs with weakest bottom end of the range?
Not 'weak' - after all, what would be the point of a bass cab with 'weak' lows? Just very punchy, defined lows.
17.
They are not affiliates, they are forum sponsors (if I'm not mistaken!) which I imagine means they contribute donations to the running of the site in exchange for the benefits of a subforum to help highlight their products? I'm sure waterofthetyne will be alone to explain property as soon as he spots this! *edit* he was!
It's not like I'm predictable or anything...
18. Here's your answer...
19. 600 quid? Is that all? Have you taken leave of your senses?
20. I've used the tweeterless 1126 and the old-style (i.e. larger) H115. Both were great, but the H115 resonated with me more because I'm old-school. However, I know the Streamliner doesn't scrimp on the lows... that makes me wonder if the 1126 might be a better match. That's just a hunch, mind. Plus, I have no experience of the revised H115.
21.
I like midrange, and a solid bottom end but with definition:
In that case, IMO you'll love a pair of S112s.
22.
Arguably it might be a bad setup or indeed my taste but I think there's more to it than that.
I doubt you'll find an off-the-shelf Status with a bad setup. Whereas you'll be lucky to find an off-the-shelf Fender with *any* sort of setup. This doesn't help their reputation one jot.
23. Yup - WA + TKS 12's = heaven. It really is.
24.
I would like to buy an amp that has been built with care & pride & not by a company who main concirn is profit because it shows . In my opinion .
Alternatively, the latter could be building it to a price point that's within reach of more people.
