1.
Have to say that although I don't get on with Jazzes this is possibly my favourite Limelight so far...
Cheers! It's certainly got it goin' on.
 2. Yeah - from what I gather Mark's 'light' relic is not quite as light as you might expect.
 3. Nope to subdivisions - there are too many as it is, and one man's 'upper budget' range is another man's 'lower mid-range' etc. Stuff will fall into the cracks.
 4.
Not that it matter much, but the previous version of the S112 (front ported) was just called the 112. Your upcoming cabinet is an S112, your old ones were (both) 112:s. The S in the name marks the difference between the old and new style.
Whoops... I've always referred to them as S112s. Sorry about that!
 5. Ghost Bass - I admit I've always preferred front-ported cabs, but for 'gut feeling' reasons. I've had no hard evidence to back it up. However, I can put it to the test soon, as I've replaced my front-ported S112 with a soon-to-arrive new-style rear-ported S112... :-)
 6.
Make sure you play it before committing. I played a '77 P recently that looked amazing but sounded........ ok. Wasn't worth the very hefty price tag as an instrument to be played, but maybe as an object to hold on to and hope it increases in value.
Of course this advice applies to any bass, regardless of when it was made...
 7. Seems legit.
 8.
I was probably one of the people who answered WoT's questions about TKS cabs. Having owned both a 212 and now two W2126, I can only say I love em.
Yep - it's all your fault and I'm very grateful.
 9.
You mean something like this? If you have the time, come by Monday evening and they'll be waiting for you.
10. We've done this already...
 11. There's not too many maple necks around so ripe for a restoration, but the PG is ruined. 'Tis a shame :-(
 12.
If u guys wanna find out what Jeff n Andy r up 2, go 2 TB thread 'Future of Genz Benz' but Andy is at Mesa n Jeff is laying low, or in wait, probably coz of the FMIC gag/no compete clause I'd guess. If any of u need repairs etc, the GB boys r still advising on n servicing their brill products so how's that 4 amazing CS?? Ffffffender's bean counters n thinking heads must've all grown up near high voltage power lines n now wear their tinfoil hats 24/7. Effing ffffender!
The translate bottom in Chrome doesn't work. Can someone help?
 13. It could be any number of things. Fit, finish etc. aside, you can't really give it a decent crack of the whip until the setup and strings are to your taste.
 14. Yum.
 15.
What's the 7W vinyl...?
Scrap that - found it. Cool!
 16.
I'm looking forward to it landing! Tommy informs me it'll be the first TKS in the UK that's landed through Bassgear too :-) Having nearly gone for the flashy option and chosen the black '7W' vinyl that is on the TKS site, her indoors convinced me to go for something more classic. Can't wait to see it in the flesh as I've only ever seen these cabs a couple of times in the flesh and not in the combo I went for. The countdown begins!!
What's the 7W vinyl...?
 17. Yep - mine had the same problem. Power dropped, started to distort. It was something to do with the jack socket - firmly jiggling the jack in the socket caused it to come back to life. Eventually I unscrewed the socket, reseated it and tightened it up and it's been OK since.
 18.
I've not tried one, but I was under the impression that the bigger Rumble amps were Genz tech?
Possibly, but in pretty shabby packages. No speakons? Wow.
 19.
I thought that Fender were just taking the existing amp models and then rebadging them as Fender?
You'd think that would be the sensible thing to do, wouldn't you? But nah, they cocked it up.
 20.
a good balance between lows and mids, no mid scoop. There's about a 3 dB increase in the high mids, compared to the lows.
Amen to that, and it's a beautiful thing.
 21. IME, the Streamliner lacked backbone - a trait I've found with the other micros.
 22.
What? You didn't like the colour or what? Like for like? Frank.
Yup - new-style S112 on the way to match my S212. That way, my old (and lovely) S112s get to stay as a pair with their new owner....
