Edit: Link's not working - just go up to search and search topic titles for 'bass direct'.

IMO the flats are way better.
The tone is more "rounded",and the little lick that you threw in sings out better.

Yip - I love flats. They don't just do 'thump'.

I think the internet breeds certain time wasters who dream of being in a band but can't actually play/organise/do anything as they don't put the effort in. Good old wanted posters used to cause less fuss.

Don't trust the Internet.... Get out there and talk to people. Get to know them. Get to know their peers. That's the best way to connect with like-minded people.
Gareth - there is an element of truth to your theory: City centres are transient places. Most of the good stuff goes on in the suburbs and satellite towns where musical relationships develop over years.
Newcastle is a big town, and it has a lot going on around the fringes. You just haven't found it.
Hi everyone
My old band had a get-together for old times' sake last night 'cos the singer is moving to foreign climes.
We haven't played for a few years, but apart from a couple of blips, it was pretty much like riding a bike.... lots of fun.

Here's a clip from my gig last night where I used the H115, on loan from its soon-to-be owner.
I LOVE this cab. So fat and authoritative.

Lovely! You're in for a treat.
I'm hopefully about to place an order for an S212.
Then I'll have a single S112 for most of my gigs, and an S212 for the bigger stuff :-)
I use Stablehost, but you're going to get a million different recommendations, all of which are perfectly valid.
Yeah - FWIW, I managed to record two 45-minute sets at 720 / 30fps with a decent set of rechargeables. It would probably have kept on going for a while, too.
Hmmm... if you're using video, make sure it's set to 30fps. If it's set to 60, it'll shut down after 10 minutes, IIRC.
As you seem to be using audio only, I'm stumped.

Drums 1977 It's Pre CBS (1965) and transition period that serious collectors go for.

Jazz Bass 65 - TV logo-era basses are very sought after at the moment. Not to the degree of the basses you mention, but they're still very collectable... especially in this condition.
Gumtree should be capitalised. Sell-out should be hyphenated. The second paragraph should be split into two sentences.
I gave up nitpicking after that. Poor effort.

Anyway, here we are:

...featuring John Woods on drums, who I've had the privilege of playing with on a number of occasions. Great player.

Sandberg did it first
There's a certain irony in that when you take the bigger picture into account.
I agree that it's too limited to get really excited about, even if they did ship to the UK. Sandberg's is far better.
