1.
I am going to go out on a limb and state that I think that the new Prodigy and Strategy amps are pretty ugly cosmetically. They no doubt sound awesome however. I would probably still wait about for a 400+ or get a second hand Big Block.
I agree. Too much bling, not enough class.
2. http://www.tcelectronic.com/media/914735/tc_electronic_bass_amp_power_rating___active_power_management.pdf FWIW, the RH450 sounded loud to me, but lacked substance. YMMV.
3.
I think the high pass filter might help get the most from the 240 watts.
*snort*
4. I had a plunk on one of these in Windows in Newcastle at the weekend. It was quite lovely, but - surprisingly - bloody heavy. I would never have guessed it was Chinese had I not spotted the sticker on the back of the headstock.
5. I'm guessing you don't mean the Chicago-based alt-rockers?
6.
Not on an iPhone, not for me. Doesn't get me to the end result (viewing the first unread post) any quicker, considering zooming, swooshing the page sideways to relocate the thing you want to hit which disappeared with the zoom, etc, etc.
I use an iPhone and I switch between mobile and desktop all the time depending on what I want to do. I don't really think about it, tbh... I just do it.
7.
Let me make it simple. I would like, please, to have something to hit to get me to the first unread post in a thread, that is bigger than the currently tiny target area ( which is giving me and others problems ) and preferably as big as a key on the iPhone keyboard. I really only use the mobile site on the phone for one thing, staying up to date with threads I'm already subscribed to, so the current state of the site frustrates me all the time. I don't honestly care how that gets done. Make the dot bigger, add another link, add tapatalk as an alternative, whatever rocks the boat the least. Please ?
'Use full site' is your friend.
8. Tommy's just posted this custom order on Facebook. He says it's a love it or hate it thing. I LOVE IT.
9. I moved across to New Moon this year, too. Very reasonable premium... Never had to claim, mind.
10. I'm a floater, but I use my left hand to mute too.
11.
I can see where wateroftyne is coming from - Nad is a bit shaky at times, but he did a pretty good job overall, I think. The support act was a million times better in Manchester too (Alan Reed of Pallas' solo project)
Even if his vocals were spot-on, I'd still struggle to warm to him. He's like a camp pantomime villain. I actually had my head in my hands once or twice. On top of all that, the bloke in the seat directly in front of me thought it would be funny to put on a fox mask and stand at the foot of the stage in front of Hackett during the quiet bit before the climax of The Musical Box. Totally took the momentum out of it. Idiot...
12. They're pretty easy to open without breaking the lock if you have a poke around.
13.
I don't think it's a bad bass, my point was the hypocrisy of the attitude because it's a member here and not a random person on eBay.
I can understand that. Sometimes you just have to take negative comments on the chin.
14. Still not happening for me.. Maybe it takes a while to kick in...?
15. Just got back from the Newcastle show... awesome. Great set list, and Lee Pomeroy is an absolute monster. He was channelling Rutherford on bass and rhythm guitar. Faultless. Having said that... that curly-haired singer is awful beyond belief. How he got the gig is a mystery to me. Absolutely embarrassing...
16. Give 'em a vigorous rub doon with an old t-shirt. That'll get rid of the initial 'grippiness'.
17. It looks like every new user who's registered for the last couple of days is in the same 'validating' state as I am... which suggests the email system is kaput.
18. Well this is frustrating.... I thought I'd change my email address to a different one to see if that fixes it, but my Hotmail account hasn't received the validation email. So now I'm stuck in purgatory. Is the mail server completely knacked, or is it still sending some notifications?
19.
Yes I'm getting notifications at the top of the page but no email notifications. I went for a couple of years without email notifications until I changed my email address from my personal domain to a Plusnet email address and then it all came good. I suspect that there is something weird with the email send server in that if it doesn't like the email address, such as it doesn't have the right sort of certification, then it won't send to it. Just an idea.
Might be. Everyone who is affected - who's your email provider? Mine's Gmail.
20. Out out interest. is anyone reading this still receiving notifications?
