1. I feel your pain - unlucky. I retired my WA bag fairly quickly and replaced it with something a bit more protective, with comfortable handles. Shoulder straps make me nervous. Hope you get it fixed OK. Just in case, plug a cable across the FX loop in case the jolt has affected that. They symptoms sound a bit like what happens when you get dirt in there.
 2.
Loved the album when it came out. So disappointed with the clipping. Have only listened to PBTHAL's remaster for the last few years. Was not sure about getting the remaster until I listened to that Rolling Stone stream. Pre-ordered my vinyl copy. Just bustin' to hear it through my system.
It's really THAT good. They should remix CA to the same spec.
 3.
if Roger waters can get an amazing crystal clear sound there why can't everyone else ? This attention to detail really matters when the tickets cost a small fortune.
The sound was good, but a ) occasionally deafening and b ) the bass was MIA. I think it all depends where you're sitting, I think..
 4.
Man, there is something wrong with this software if one finger failure causes a thread removal. I figure given that most software gives you the fail safe, "are you sure?" prompt, I can only assume whoever had their 'finger failure' was having a fit at the time. Either that, or one of the mod team has amnesia. I remember a guy who worked at my dad's office - nice chap, had Parkinson's. Police and ambulance came round to the office and burst in. Turns out the poor fella was only trying to get an outside line.
Quite. Damn this free forum, staffed by fallible human volunteers!
 5. I've just had a clandestine meeting in a car park with fenderbender - he's brought the 15" back after having it on loan for a few days. He's just told me what he's about to order from TKS. All I can say is... yum.
 6. There's no harm in stating facts. Unfortunately the waters are always muddied by opinion.
 7. Ooof.. that's more like it! Now... will they go back and redo a few of the others? :-)
 8.
Ordered mine through Amazon. OK, a couple of quid more expensive than Sainsburys Online, but as I already have an account I get free delivery and don't have the ballache of entering all my details... And I now have the MP3 version to listen to on my Cloud Player!
Oh - can you get it straight away? off to order now...
 9.
One would not expect Aston Martin to honor a warranty replacement claim should one drive it into a grove of trees.
What a lovely turn of phrase! Take a bow, Mr. Fitzmaurice.
 10.
It might be worth asking the mods to move this to the Amps and Cabs section, as some of the people who actually know about this kind of stuff only seem to check in there.
Done :-)
 11. It might be minor to some, but stuff like this might put others off from buying. Alex has done the right thing by taking feedback on board and addressing it.
 12.
Hi all, Just thought that i would comment on this thread, i have just been road testing the TKS 1x15 with a tweeter (on test from the wateroftyne) first impressions are that its well made and solid for life on the road and secondly OMG how light is it!!! i am using a Gallien Kruger RB700 amp and a RBH115 cab and this cab is far better than the RBH it gives a great smooth warm bottom end yet also allows the mids and tops frequencies to come alive. i have used it to play rock-soul and pop/disco and have not yet found it to be wanting. the rest of the band have also been greatly impressed by how the sound sits in the mix. defo 10 out of 10 so have ordered from TKS as i aint found better for price, build, sound and weight. Very happy bunny!!!
Awesome! What did you go for? Standard style?
 13. It's all on the Time Machine live DVD.
 14. Just listening to that preview now... nice and punchy, loads of energy and a lot of the time it sounds like a bass, drums and guitar trio. Lots of qualities they've lacked since, actually....
 15.
Maybe it's time for you all to put your hands in your pockets and donate some cash to revamp the site that was revamped not that long ago. First world problems, eh.
C'mon, man. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask.
 16. Hello fellow God's Country resident.. Welcome aboard! Which bit are you in?
 17. Preview the whole thing here.
 18.
Glad to hear it! I have absolutely no doubt that Jerry Jemott is still an awesome prospect . I just think it would be great if a major artist utilised his skills and gave the wider public a chance to hear his skills. When you listen to the bass on that YT clip and think about how much that sound and that feel are back in fashion nowadays, it's clear to me that Jerry would rip it up on any soul, hip hop, R&B track made by the hippest contemporary artists nowadays. Jerry should be playing on the same kind of projects that Pino Palladino has been doing.
Absoflippinlutely. These guys should be looked on as the legends they are. It's a shame they have to wait until someone makes a documentary on 'em, like the Motown & Stax guys. It's too late by then.
 19.
The point I was trying to make earlier ( but not very well , probably) is that if you are looking at the Dollar price and then comparing it to the price in U.K Pounds then that gives a very inaccurate idea of the true relative cost of consumer goods in Britain and the U.S.A. Not least of all , the domestic buying power of the dollar is not dictated by the exchange rate, and vice-versa. You need to start by looking at what a dollar will buy you in America and compare it with what 62 pence will buy you in Britain. You would find that in most instances a dollar would buy you closer to what a pound would rather than 62p , meaning that , on the face that alone the goods are even more expensive than you think. You then have to factor in wages, and levels of taxation and social security and a whole host of other factors. All told, we pay a bit more than in America in real terms, but , very significantly, we don't really pay any more for American goods than Americans pay for imported goods from the U.K , undermining somewhat the idea of "ripoff Britain". The most feasable way for companies like Mesa to sell at a more competitive price in the U.K would be to set up production in Europe to take advantage of the E.U , but would you want to buy the same products made in a "satellite" factory? How long would it be before we were having threads on Basschat discussing whether the Mesa amps made in Denmark were as good or sounded the same as the ones made in California? We all know which ones would end up being most desirable.
Ta for that - I'm not sure if you meant to quote me, but my post was just me wondering out loud why Mesa's UK pricing seems so extreme compared to, say, Aguilar.
 20. Cheers, Molan - that's very insightful. Out of interest, how to (for example) Aguilar manage it? The DB751 is about £1800 in the UK and £1500 in the US.. unless my figures are wrong (which is likely).
 21.
With reference to an earlier question - there is no fixed pricing agreement in place for Mesa Boogie products. Dealers may choose to stick to RRP but that is their prerogative and not anything that could be enforced by a manufacturer (I have a feeling it's not even allowed legally in the EU).
Ah - understood. I know they do in the US, but wasn't sure if that was the case in the EU.
 22.
Last I heard he was playing in a hotel house band in Memphis or somewhere similar. I'm sure it's a decent gig, but Jerry Jemott should still be playing with the biggest names in the business, in my opinion .
He's still keeping busy. He even does lessons via Skype... http://www.jerryjemmott.com/
 23. Damn, he's good isn't he?
