1. White Sound were based in Sunderland, I think...?
2. Innit? They weigh nowt, but they're solid as a rock. incidentally, there IS a steel grille under the cloth - hence the screws. I'm recording tonight, so I'm going to use one. Common sense tells me I shouldn't until I've broken it in, but common sense has deserted me.
3. J for looking at. P for playing.
4. [Devil's advocate mode ON] If you're skint a lot of the time, I'd buy something you need, or at least something that won't result in a massive loss when the time comes to sell it (and chances are you probably will).
5.
My 2p... Most audiences are deaf and or drunk and only 'hear' the guitar and vocals,
Most of mine aren't. Just sayin'.
6. It's rock and roll. It's all about rhythm, confidence and bluster.
7. This morning, they were in Denmark. Right now... Germany. *drums fingers*
8.
Isn't it about time you updated your sig then?
As soon as the new'uns have their feet under the table, I will..... :-)
9. I really like the idea of the 'D' cabs, and the 1126 / 2126. There's a review on YouTube of the 1126 and it sounds lovely...
10. I did a DVD swap with Andy but due to a misunderstanding at my end, it didn't work out. Despite it being my fault, he was kind enough to swap back again with no fuss. Excellent comms throughout, too. Thanks, Andy!
11.
Yes, that's what I meant. It's not stacking one cab on top of the other that is the issue because, as WoT says, the top cab has feet that keep it clear of the handle. It is the amp on top of the vertically stacked cabs (or even one single cab for that matter) that is awkward. Just seems a silly place to put a handle of that type...
Ah, fairy nuff - I'm pre-prepared for it 'cos I put taller feet on my Walkabout head ages and ages ago. They were about £2, I think. :-)
12.
I now feel privileged to be gigging in London where most pub and club venues supply backline and basic drum set, full PA and reasonable monitoring and I now know this is not the case in [s]many[/s] most other parts if the country.
Fixed it for you. I didn't know the scene was like that in London. Interesting to know.
13. Oooof. A real man's amp! Good price too - good luck with the sale.
14.
Can't find them for sale on the net Happy Jack :-(
Here y'are...
15. I think you're all thinking about it too much. :-)
16. Laklands or La Bella FLs for me. Laklands edge it, and they're very reasonably priced.
17. Cheers, all! They're pretty much an unknown quantity over here, but he's well established in Scandanavia. I've done a lot of research (thanks to Google translate!), and had a lot of discussion with Tommy (whose English is impeccable) and existing owners. My Bergs are great - they're Bergs, after all - but I don't do tweeters any more. And, although they aren't heavy in the grand scheme of things, my back has been playing up recently so the lighter the better.
18.
Nice one Michael, I love vertically stacked cabs (my old Ampeg with two 2x10s sounded great on stage). Interested to know, if there's only one driver per cab, if it make any difference whether they're vertically or horizontally stacked? C
Cheers! I suppose it might make a difference as the distance between the drivers will change, but how much, I'm not sure. Tommy (Mr. TKS) provides them in either config.... it's up to the buyer.
19. I got a cover made up for my Ibanez Promethean. First one they'd had, so I had to do the measuring... and it was spot-on. I'm about to order another couple of covers from them, too.
20.
I'm guessing they are 210s?
Nope...
Whatever they are, that top handle is in a silly place if you want to stack them vertically!
...unless the feet are tall enough to clear the handle
21. Not Barefaced - Alex has a marvellous cab in prototype, but it could be a while before it goes into production. Not Lego (or Duplo). Not Fender. Not Trace. And as for Warwickhunt knocking things up over a lunch break - the less said about that the better...
