  1. My amp's probably done c.200 gigs since the post above, and it hasn't skipped a beat. I don't expect to have to replace them any time soon.
  2. It’s been advertised locally quite a lot. It looks like a beauty.
  3. New to all this. Just looked JL up on Facebook. Made a mental note never to give him a penny, or even engage him in conversation.
  4. My ACS just pop in. The trick is to screw ‘em in, not push.
  5. Based on what we can see, it looks legit... and a bargain. I also agree that it looks more 1981-ish.
  6. Well, it’s only the nitro that’s distressed. 50+ years of tab smoke, temperature changes, sweaty venues and scuffs will do that.
  7. I have temporary custody of a pal's '63. As far as he's aware, it's never been taken apart It plays beautifully.
  8. What colour? Please say yellow...
  9. Meant to post these instructions earlier. Thanks for the reminder, @Merton! wb-100 instructions.pdf
  10. Don't forget to go through the setup procedure each time (sorry if you already know this). And then... set the EQ to flat, pop that drive button in, set the feedback switch to the centre position, max the output gain, and brace yourself. What cab are you using?
  11. Worry not... the important page is in English, too. http://www.handbox.pl/BASS-AMPLIFIERS-c42.html
  12. It’s still working for me.. http://www.handbox.pl/cgi-bin/index.pl But to answer your question, they are.
  13. Ah, you lucky duck. I love the original EQ. Probably would have scored this myself if I’d seen it. FWIW I don’t think the DI is as hot on the original. You might not need the attenuator.
  14. Ah, didn’t see that! Is it the original passive EQ, or the newer model with the mid?
  15. Original or not, it’s a (beefy) beaut.
  16. I guess it's part of the tactic by promoters to ensure that there will be people in the audience.
  17. Here’s another one in a local shop… https://www.facebook.com/share/p/btE1X8VqyMstU5xq/?mibextid=WC7FNe
  18. Shove a plug in and out the FX send and return sockets in the back of the amp a few times. The plugs can have problems if they're not used regularly (oxidisation I think) and that will clean them.
