1.
They do - it's just that she's here in bed with me.
*removes wig* Did the earth move for you too, pet? x
 2.
Show off! ;-)
3. I'd like to be in Mark Knopfler's band. Again.
 4. I would quite happily use a Lakland P - they look lovely and they give me GAS. But, having two gorgeous early 70s P's that won't depreciate unless something bad happens, means there's not much point.
 5. Here's a chap noodling tastefully with an RBIV (not mine). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQmbt7HwYL4
 6. There's no golden year - there are dogs and diamonds in era. Bear in mind that in the late 70s, the ratio shifts a little towards dogs, especially with regards to weight.
 7. ..and sold. Thanks for everyone's interest.
 8. Unless you're a Doom band (or whatever it's called this week), there's no need to be painfully loud at rehearsals, or even gigs for that matter. Most of the bands I know who play too loud do it because a) they're inexperienced or b ) deaf, because they've played too loud for decades, and they can't hear themselves.
 9. Uncomfortable to play. Awkward balance... hollow tone (not even plummy like a Jack Casady). They're not even good for fighting off burglars. They just collapse on impact. I suppose in an emergency you could use one as an oar. until it filled with water.
 10.
So, it's OK to make profit in a way that you think is acceptable, i.e. listing fees but not profit in a way you don't think is acceptable, i.e. selling your personal information. I think we have the same opionion, it's just I don't agree so much with the listing fee approach either.
Ah, sorry - I misunderstood you. i thought you meant selling the details on the sly. If it was made clear what I was signing up for, and it was above-board, and I could click the 'no' button, I'd have no problem with it.
 11.
But didn't you just say that you were OK with profit being made from Basschat?
I did. I'm missing your point...?
 12.
If people want to make a profit then I'm not against that, but I personally didn't think that's what Basschat was all about. Maybe I've got my rose-tinted specs on again. Would you be happy , for example if the owners thought they could profit from selling on your personal information or any pictures you've posted ala Facebook. That would be another revenue source they could easily make some cash from. I also think £7 for listing a £51 pedal is getting close to being ripped off, I prefer the ebay model of cheap listing and percentage of sale but that again is just my opinion.
I don't think there's any suggestion - or possibility - of the owners selling our personal info.
 13.
I only asked because, I agree that people shouldn't have to pay for it out their own pocket. However, if it's now being done for profit I don't really agree with that either.
I don't know if profit is involved, but if it is... fair enough. Why shouldn't there be?
 14. I point my learned friend to the thread wot we're in.
 15. Ashdown have a serious image problem at the moment, don't they?
 16. That's a great watch - thanks for putting it together. Aguilar are a classy outfit.
 17.
My thoughts too. Where the hell are we talking about?
Why don't we all have a go at guessing? That way, at least we tried. Assuming he wants to know how to replace the three-part head unit in a Ford Fiesta, this'll help him.
 18.
Interesting, or mentally disturbed? - http://basschat.co.u...ost__p__2024066
I couldn't possibly comment. Somehow I managed to miss all this chap's exploits. Off topic is bad for my health - I try to stay out of it...
 19.
I'm surprised to hear that. It's not what my ears are telling me. The stated parametric range of the treble control is claimed to go up to 6.3KHz, which would be very odd if there were a 5KHz low pass filter. I'd be interested to read about this if you knew of a link ? Although the whole fact that I own cabs without tweeters tells you that I am not a fan of bright, clear high end anyway.
Here you go... I don't like clear highs either, so it didn't really affect me.
 20. Hi Hamfist I did read that part of your post. I should have said 'to be clear..'. Apologies. The RH450 does have a hard-wired lo-pass filter (5kHz, I think?) which to all intents and purposes is an artificial cut in the high end. The RH750 addresses this with the tweetertone control. I used mine with Berg HS210s which have very detailed mids. and for a spell with a Barefaced Compact. Tonally blah, and seriously lacking authority. It's a Marmite head, I think.
