1. Look no further than our very own Bass Doc for all your pickguard needs. Drop him a PM and he'll sort you out for a very, very reasonable cost. Cheaper than Jeanie's, I'll bet.
2.
wow!, now this is interesting, thanks! now!...but who is Larry Taylor and sadly no details for I'm A Believer
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I'm_a_Believer

4. Little miss WoT is called Constance, and little mister WoT is called Jet. Both bass-related, but don't tell the Missus. :-D
5. Ah... helloooooo! Lovely, lovely head. We had a lot of fun together.
6. I thought I'd posted in this one already, but I can't see it. I must have dreamt it. Anyway, Laklands. Lovelier than the already lovely LaBellas, cheaper, and more definition in the mids.. very little clank and clatter. And let's face it - flats are about mids, not clank and clatter. They're out of stock but I can sell you some from the big box of them that I have in my shed that Walbassist referred to earlier. Only joking. Maybe.
7. Microbass II for me. Great bit of kit - everything the SansAmp does, without sucking the life out of your tone. However, you might like the SansAmp tone...
8.
I'm using Lakland Joe Osborne Signature Flats and they're amazing. I also got really good results with La Bella Deep Talkin'.
Both of these, especially the Laklands... they're cheaper and growlier.
9. What would he have improved by upgrading? btw, the holes were where the string mutes used to be.
10.
All good, but flats don't have to be thumpy and fat. They can be clanky, buzzy, boingy and toppy as well.
Amen.
11.
And those who mix the bass drum to have depth charge type sounds regardless of the music type and so operating at the same frequencies.
That drives me NUTS.
12. The main enemy of flats is sound guys / producers who don't know how to mix 'em.
13. Rock, country, blues, folk, pop, acoustic, electric...
14. Sold an amp to Muzz - super-smooth transaction, friendly comms. Deal with confidence...
15. Hello Japcrappers! Any ideas what this is? It's a friend's. Sorry if one has been ID'd in the thread already, but it's a bit long to read through...
16.
Howdy I'm not sure exactly but I could find out if you want.
If you don't mind. Thank you.
17. Hello Deaky! How heavy is it?
18. It's not as bad as people make out, I reckon. The soundtrack is tremendous.
19. He's fairly well established. I think he's spotted that the tide is beginning to turn, and he's going into self-preservation mode.
20. Agents are the worst thing to happen to the pub scene in living memory.
21. Lovely basses! Yep, they're American.
22. Here's another.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gd-Kll3YG24
