1. I always thought that if - for some reason - I'd ever have to abandon Fender, Lakland would probably be my first port of call.
2. ..kind-of: http://youtu.be/XknSZNYTkkQ Apparently this isn't a joke. Who listens to this stuff?
3. Quick update on the case situation.... I've bought a Magma Digi Control Bag L, and it's spot-on. The head fits perfectly, it's light, very well made, strong, and there's lots of room for other stuff. It's big, and not cheap, but worth it if you don't want to go down the rackmount route. Recommended.
4. Sincere apologies to gridchin - I can't count. Have another bump on me.
5. 36 hour rule... Just sayin'.
6. Contact The Bass Doc on here. He can make one for you for a very, very reasonable price.
7. Are people really having a go at Roger for popping up and chipping in to threads about his product? Wow. I wish more manufacturers would get involved to this degree....
8. Has anyone north of the Tees or south of the Tweed got one of these? I'd like to have a go of one...
9. I've got the BBC & ITV clips. I haven't really seen any footage yet... there was a strict camera ban, so nothing on YouTube either. I'll have to wait for the DVD... *drums fingers*
10.
Just watched the video bits - how cool!
Cheers, Barrie - the head sounded awesome, too.
11. I've got a couple more pics through...
12. C'mon, everyone... we need to keep this going! He's out there somewhere...
13. I've just noticed that I started this thread way back when. It's about time I chipped in again. So... none of my bands are particularly loud. Would a single ML112 do for me?
14. Awwww... Thanks, man. Those Lakland flats are a god-send.
15. ...here's the full song.
16. Cheers, Kirky! It does... how I love it so.
17. Hi all Here's a promo video for a gig I have at Newcastle City Hall in June. It illustrates perfectly why I'll never sell my fretless P... :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyQxCVHPmUw
18. That reply is just rude, IMO. On the face of it, I wouldn't want to work with him / her.
19.
I didn't know this until yesterday, but apparently even the AG500 has a Class D poweramp...!
Nearly, but not quite! It's Class T, so it has some of the Class D benefits, but it also has an all-important (IMO) toroidal transformer supplying the power... and no fancy-pants power management circuit.
20. Sold pending - it lasted just over an hour!
21. Yeah - Warwickhunt has a MIM roadworn J that is absolutely to die for. It's a roll of the dice.
22. Hi all It's time for a change..! MESA Walkabout. £550. Excellent condition, no issues. It's next-but-newest revision - i.e. input impedance switch, and an FX loop switch. The only differences to the newest blackface model are cosmetic. It comes with the original MESA soft case. I've changed the jewel light for a funky green one. I'll include the original. I'm based in North Tyneside, but could travel a little way to meet up. Also, I'll ship at the buyer's expense (less than a tenner, I'd imagine).
23.
But my wee Georgie only recognises the bass player. This confirms I am bringing him up correctly.
That lad has a bright future ahead of him...
24. Another shot... Mark, Ruby, and the other fella:
25. It's been at least a couple of days since we talked about this... Bits of wood, plastic and wire screwed together on a conveyor belt are always going to suffer from inconsistencies. What usually doesn't work in Fender's favour are the factory set-ups... if you call tweaking them until they're virtually unplayable a 'factory set up', that is.
