1. *psst* There's a 36-hour no-bump rule...
2. These basses keep popping up to torment me.
3. They were in a shop so they were probably set up like crap.
4.
I thought all 70's jazz basses had bullet truss rods?
From '74-ish.
5. It would have to be a direct bank transfer - not PayPal. if you're OK with that, I'll get a shipping quote for you. (Sorry to do this on the thread, but I've had other offers from overseas and this will be useful for them).
6. Hi Rhammond It's still available, but I'm not keen on sending it out of the UK to anyone but an established Basschatter, Sorry about that.
7. I'm usually left alone to do what I do.
8. It's great, innit? That guitar he uses is so bizarre. It's so 'un-JJ Cale'. Crazy guy.
9. Seriously, Antiloco - if I can just ask you one question: What do you have against trains? Are you also keen to abolish trams and other light rail?
10. Ladies and gentlemen - Art without entertainment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItZyaOlrb7E LULz. This drumer is at teh rong GIG! LOL
11. Don't feed the troll...
12. There's a 36-hour no-bump rule on BC...
13. Ah, that's a shame - they were useful 'cos he played properly.
14. I didn't realise Ken had binned his. Any idea why?
15. Ha.. Sorry about that. Amp isn't here yet - I'll post when it lands. I'll be hanging on to my Walkabout for a bit just in case... As for the videos... I don't really bother any more. I can't record them well enough and my playing sucks. :-)
16. Squinting at the pics on a phone, it looks like it could be a legit early 80s parts bin special.
17.
That one looks great but i prefer to get something that doesn't look like a Laptop bag because it increases the chances of someone grabbing it at the end of a gig.
True. Albeit the world's heaviest laptop.
18.
A quick search shows GuitarGuitar have a couple left in stock, but they are a whopping £799. Dan
Whoa... looks like I got myself a bargain. :-)
19. Thanks for the offer, Dan... much appreciated! Ghost_bass - if my calculations are correct, this should be a decent fit. Check first, though! I have an Odyssey bag for my Walkabout, and they're great. Very protective, but light. Having said that, I don't know where you would get one in the UK.
20. Like I say, DivaStropChat.
21.
Dummies, prams, stuff getting thrown etc. The BC usual!
It's getting worse, isn't it? Let's rename it DivaStropChat.
22. This thread is awesome! What's it about?
23.
Thanks guys, for organizing this. Great to meet you all. Good company and my son and I were made to feel very welcome. Jay-James sends his apologies for monopolizing your rig, he lost track of time (typical 14 year old) and I was too busy talking to realise!!! Just give me a shout if you ever want to try the Steinberger
You're very welcome. The young'un's a talented lad...
24. Little miss WoT, 6 years old, after witnessing an REALLY old bloke try to down the wrong way of a dual carriageway, narrowly avoiding carnage: Little miss WoT: 'Why did the man do that, daddy?' Me: 'Because he's really old, sweetheart. And sometimes really old people get confused and do silly things.' Little miss WoT: 'You mean like the man who shot one of The Beatles?'
