Awesome. How can stuff like this be left to fester in an archive somewhere? Criminal. Anyway - this is [i]proper[/i] prog. Atmosphere, emotion, clever... The current 'Clever-for-the-sake-of-it' Prog by numbers (Dream Theatre etc.) is a different beast entirely, IMO. It's of no interest at all to me.

The word 'Funk' makes me sick up a little in my mouth. It just makes me think of white socks and shiny suits with pushed-up sleeves.

Jeans and a gig shirt (i.e. not something i'd usually wear for every day stuff). Sometimes a suit with no tie for corporate / posh stuff.

I've used the HD's predecessor, the HS, and I now own a pair of HS's - as far as I know, there's not a night-and-day difference between them. They're amazing cabs. I can do most of my gigs with the 2x10 - the 4x10 is incredibly powerful, punchy, clear - all the usual clichés.

Just read that the O2 reunion show is about to come out on DVD. Yahoo!

[/quote] Was it a boot? Which one? I'm basically a fan of the 70s rhythm-section-and-up mix. Fat and warm, and everything has room to breathe. You can feel the weight behind the bass. Modern production is generally sparkly and clear, but dense and woefully undynamic. Look at recent Rush stuff, for example. Someone recently pointed me at a new record by... Porcupine Tree, was it? Not a fan of the music, but the sound was incredible. The guy that produced that also did the new Ian Anderson CD and it's equally involving. All IMO, of course.

Loads of times - it'll be fine. He may well have a slightly different internal clock to your regular drummer - you'll adapt quick enough.

Bizarre! I'm not sure if it could be relevant, but there's a common-ish problem with Walkabouts which results in the signal dropping out - the FX loop jacks oxidise over. Shoving jacks in and out of the send and return a few times to clear them solves it. Maybe give it a shot?

Hi all I did a dep with The Junco Partners last night, who are Newcastle's R'n'B godfathers. They've been around since the 60s, and even backed Howlin' Wolf on a tour.
