1. Ta fer that. '..music had more soul when several people played together.' He's right, you know.
2. Legion is clearly a little confused. As everyone knows, Fender are evil soul-sucking dinosaurs, who only have their own interests at heart. Oh, wait...
3.
Are you mad?? I'd sound like an imp trapped in a baked-bean can
I'm guessing you haven't heard one...
4. As far as genuine advice goes...
5.
I'm glad you posted that! I was just contemplating the vast, endless wasteland that is jazz/fusion. Eww! Eurgh!
Wretched, isn't it?
6. I saw a bit of that, too. Lovely - it really gave the songs a chance to breathe. Canny bass player too...
7. Do they do a non-elevator music version?
8. You'll need to post a price. Great cab - good luck with the sale!
9. FWIW, it's not a lack of bass I had problems with - it was more that the dynamics down there weren't to my tastes.
10. It's also worth pointing out that this thread is a question about the dynamics of the amp, not how loud it is.
11. I
its the gigs where people pay to get in, sound, lighting, security, bar staff, EVERYONE gets paid except the band
I suppose it's because playing in a band is fun, whereas working behind a bar isn't. (FWIW, I rarely play for nowt, but I can understand why people do)
12. Music is enjoyable. People like doing enjoyable things for nothing. This upsets people who want to get paid for doing said enjoyable thing. ...there's no answer, really.
13.
Funny thing is, the same people who now slate it loved the amp for a year, but got bored and moved onto the next big thing. Now it seems the next big sellers are tube pre amps, a slight move towards full tube amps, etc.
You could just refer to me by name. I stuck with it for a year, because there's that many controls on it, it took me a year to exhaust all the possibilities. Seriously though - I was busy, most of my gigs used FOH, and I just didn't know what to replace it with until the Streamliner came out.
... and tone is right there for me, (a low mid kicker). If you want huge sub bass, no, it isn't for you, but then again there are many amps that avoid huge low end as you need the speakers to handle it.
Interestingly, I thought it was anaemic and the Streamliner had far more low-mid kick, but it's all subjective. I detest sub-bass. i really do. But I expect a bit of tactile feedback from the drivers if I play ghost notes, etc. The TC (and the Sreamliner, to a lesser extent) just squished 'em all out.
14. What a hoot. Depped with The Junco Partners, Newcastle's oldest (in so many ways) R'n'B band. They've been going since the 60s, and backed Howlin' Wolf and Freddie King back in the day. Both the drummer and bass player are out of action at the moment, so it was the first time I'd ever played with the drummer, too. No chance for rehearsals, or personal introductions. Just... '1, 2, 3, 4....'. Good turn-out, great fun from start to finish. Here's a tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMdVGr8m4vE
15.
Then loud still means loud.
Absolutely. But then... my six-year-old daughter is deafening, but she'd be a hopeless bass amplifier.
16.
Let's not be confused about these amps. You can like the tone or you can hate it, but the Staccato/RH450 and RH750 are as loud as any 500 watt and 750 watt amps you can buy.
It depends what you mean by 'loud'. IME, the useful stuff got left behind as you turned the volume up.
17. I hated it. It sounded like floppy cardboard. IMO. I was one of the 1% who complained about it before the rating issue. I just knew there was something weird about it. It's not an issue for lots of other people, though... it's a taste thing.
18. I had that a couple of weeks ago. it was a cached page from when there were problems a little while before that. Our proxy server at work pulled it out of the cache for some reason.
19.
I think a fix is in order though and it's in the pipeline I think.
Spot on - cheers, Ped. Sometimes it's enough just to have something acknowledged.
20. It's really odd that the new BC software works like this. I can't think why they would remove the functionality,..?
21. Best micro amp I've used. IMO / IME, in common with the other micros I've tried, it lacks a bit of punch / presence / something in the mix. I'm in a minority, mind.
22. Can't deny it! One gig ain't enough to judge, and I fell into the trap...
23. ...and here's another.
24.
It felt like they were just cashing in on the memory of the Beatles.
...he wrote, whilst sitting in the Hard Day's Night hotel. :-D
