1. Yip - a good drummer can play authoratively at living room volume.
 2. Mine hasn't landed yet either. I've had a listen to some of the songs on YouTube, and it seems they haven't rediscovered their ability to write hooky vocal melodies, which is a shame...
 3.
Conversely what's the point of liking something without saying why?
Because when you 'like' a post, you're either agreeing with the sentiment of it (wether it's positive or negative), liking someone's joke, YouTube video, Soundcloud clip, etc.. no explanation necessary. if you dislike something, you tend to say why. To bring it back to the 'real world' analogy of nodding your head in agreement / shaking your head in disagreement: It's possible - and common - to nod your head in agreement without needing further comment. However, you're unlikely to shake your head in disagreement without going on to say why.
 4.
and to let everybody know, just say it.

But, but as thousands of years of human interaction has proven, sometimes it's just quicker to nod.
...etc.
 5.
but a nod online is worth nothing.
Only if you don't know it's happening.
 6.
then you also can say it. can't you?
You can. But, but as thousands of years of human interaction has proven, sometimes it's just quicker to nod.
 7.
people tend to -instead of saying something or replying to a message- just click without communicating. what sense does something like this make here? I f you like a thread bookmark/follow it...
It makes perfect sense. It's just the equivalent of nodding in agreement, that's all.
 8. I... errr... liked the 'like' button. The dislike button was the downfall of it, though. What's the point of disliking something without saying why? It's not very useful.
 9. It's been suggested - and I'm inclined to agree - that his memory may be a little hazy. I reckon TS is the J. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlGibhuobrM
 10. Ah, cool. Tomorrow for me, hopefully!
 11.
I ordered direct from Classic Rock too. Nigel, what's your surname? If your name is on the poster that should mean it's on the way.
Are you in the UK? Was it delivered today...?
 12.
Looks like a 'B' width on the P (good!), also a TV logo. Curiously post TV logo on the J.
Antiguas were '78, so the J actually has the 'correct' logo.
 13.
That does look very interesting, and I tend to like the Mesa models in Line 6, if that's worth anything... What cabs do you use with it? And why did you grow to dislike the TC?
I use Berg HS210s. I disliked the TC because I hated the way it crushes dynamics. Some might call it 'tube-like'(!)... I call it squishing the life out of of the output to get away with saying it's a 450w head. Fan noise on the Walkabout has never been a problem for me - I've had two.
 14. Didn't get on with the TC at all. I grew to dislike it intensely. The Streamliner was far better, but it didn't work for me at volume - the dynamics seemed to suffer. Mesa Walkabout does it fer me. It's a bit heavier and larger than the micros, but it's not big by any means.
 15.
The J has dots... is the only way. Then again some like blocks, so come on Fender, you have cnc machines, the cost difference between blocks and dots is pence. Both should be offered Question is will it craze like 70s finish, and do you want crazing or not?
The 70s Antigua finish was a thick layer of gloop. It doesn't craze.
Actually, looking at the pics, it appears that the Jazz has a bullet truss rod adjuster, but the Precision looks to have one of those awful fake truss rod adjusters. My Road Worn Strat has one of those fake paint things. Great guitar, but I feel uncomfortable about that part of it.
The Precision seems to have has a walnut truss plug, which is normal for a maple-necked 70s P...?
Not my thing at all. I can understand why they don't bring this finish out too often. Just Google'd Antigua, and apart from the Caribbean Island, it also means ancient in Spanish. So maybe it some sort of ancient-y antique-y finish... Looks like frosted icing to me.
IIRC, it was supposed to be a blue / grey burst. But it went wrong, and they kept it like that.
Wasn't JJ Burnel's green bass antigua too?
No. By the way, here's the one I used to have:
 16. WTF does the J have dots? Plonkers...
 17. My preorder is in, but I'm not hopeful for the new CD....
 18. Ashdown's marketing is so shabby.
 19. I gave up on tiny heads, and bought a Mesa Walkabout which, for me, is a perfect balance between size, weight, headroom and tone.
 20.
Looks good, but where is it made? if thats MIM that price is a bit steep IMO.
It's about average for a special edition MIM.
 21. I have two this weekend, one of which is this:
 22. Not that I could ever afford one, but the square bottom looks fugly. IMO. I'm sure it'll sound great though.
 23. It's such a fine line between jazz and shred...
