If they ask us nicely, we're happy to go along with it. We're all friends...

I think in pub-covers-land, think a window of couple of weeks either-side of the date is reasonable. Anything more than that is stretching it a bit.

On the theatre / art centre / ticket venue circuit it's common. On the pub scene, less so... there's a couple of 'music' pubs up here that politely ask you not to play at the pub over the road for a while either side of playing there. Depending on the circumstances, I think it's a reasonable request.

It's probably worth a wee bit more than it was a while ago, with the Neo shortage and all..

[/quote] With the gains set to the above, mine is very loud, punchy and solid (within the limits of a box that size). Way more than I'd expect from another 65w combo. Something to try... when you're plugged in at the amp, give the plug a firm wiggle, enough to give what's going on on the other side a nudge. I had a problem with mine after I accidentally gave the jack a knock.. basically, it did something resulting in the output dropping, and the signal went lifeless, clicky and buzzy. Jiggling it around lined it all up again inside, fixing the problem. I took it to a tech who tightened it all up inside to stop it happening again.

I get by by working my lunch and leaving early, or taking half days. it's rare that I can't get away when I need to, but if it happens I'll just miss the soundcheck. Also, they gave me six weeks' unpaid leave a few years ago to go on tour. I was grateful for that.

Cool... that's good to know. All I would add is.. if I set the input gain to the clipping threshold, and the master to 10 o'clock, it would be LOUD...! Is yours loud, too?

...can you force the input clip light on by cranking the input gain?

A US magazine bench tested it, and it only puts out 236w. They do some magic doohickery to it that makes it sound as loud as a 450w amp (killing the tone and dynamics in the process IMO).
