1. Fine here too. Clearing your temporary files may well sort it.
2. Lovin' it. :-) Cheers, BC gods!
3. He is. More info here.
4.
Jim Cairnes was a pickup winder/luthier from Redcar, Middlesborough
Fixed it for ya. RIP Jim.
5. I did a couple of EUB gigs with my Promethean, and it was great. Clear, no mud, and a little kick-stand so I could angle it toward me.
6. I love the Streamliner to bits, but there's a bit of chat in the megathread on Talkbass suggesting it's not the best match for the AE212...

8. Didn't you used to have one? Or did I imagine it?
9.
I've taken the plunge and ordered mine
Good man! The only bad reports I can think of are from a couple of people who got faulty units, which is understandable. When you get yours, give it a good check over. I'm sure it'll be fine. ...and you're in for a treat. They're marvellous.
10.
When you pay for MP3's, your rockin with 'The Man' !
Ah, the man. Damn the man.. giving money to people to make records and that.
11. *thumbs up* As GW suggests, do a search 'cos there's quite a lot of love for them on BC.
12. Eden got away with charging $1400 for it... http://www.eden-electronics.com/products/discontinued/e300t.aspx
13. I've gigged with him a lot. He's a lovely lad, and a hell of a fiddle player. Vinnie on kit, too. I'm very jealous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HjsmIlUTZc Good on him.. he's worked hard and deserves it...
14. AFAIK, the MPulse 360 is a scaled-down MPulse 600 - have a look on Talkbass, there's a fair bit of tonal comparison between the Walkabout and the 600 on there. I've owned the 600 and the Walkabout. I preferred the Walkabout, as it had inherently stronger mids IME, but they're both great, great heads. The Walkabout has its' flaws - no mute, hopelessly impractical post-everything DI, no speakons, but the main problem with it is... it's stupidly, stupidly, expensive. Like.. stupidly. Anyway, I've ended up with the Genz Streamliner, which IME has a real Mesa Simul-statey thing going on, and it punches like the MESA heads do. A lot cheaper, and a lot lighter. Something to think about...
15.
They are matched well it's just the single coil J I'm not happy with. I really am in 2 minds as to whether to tamper with it at all...
You mean when it's solo'd? Tamper with it. What's the point of having a bass you're not happy with?
16. I would have expected a masterbuild to have perfectly matched pickups in it - that's disappointing. Anyway, I'd got for option #3 - that way you can get something matched, that's tried and tested.
17. FWIW, I massively had this problem when I was using the TC RH450. The D&G strings would vanish in the mix. I got a new amp, and the problem went away. Probably not relevant...
18. Happy to help, even if I am in a grump this evening.
19. Seriously, man - you can download them for £1.50 for the pair from Amazon...
20.
I know nothing about IT mate, I just know the site is pretty crap for me now. No blame, simply how it is for me. I can't imagine it's only me either (unless of course Ped ordered a Beedster filter with the upgrade - understandable perhaps?) C
Well, i just gave you an idea of what's involved - hopefully can now appreciate that it's not just a case of ticking a box or flicking a switch to make it work. It would be nice, but it's not how it works.
21.
I've tried Michael. Now I'll take it as i see it; for me it works with 75% functionality 25% of the time. I fed this back via the relevant threads at the time and apologise for doing so again above. My reason for posting here (opportunistically I'll admit) was that I got the feeling reading the thread that whilst efforts are being made to add what I consider to be non-core functionality to the site, I still don't even the basics! I doubt anyone will miss my dubious wisdom anyway
That's just the thing - Ped & Co. don't really have any direct influence on what goes into the patch. The forum provider will release a patch / update that addresses bugs and functionality improvements based on feedback from the user base (broadly speaking). They might be aware of whatever is causing the problems you're experiencing, and the patch might sort it. or, they might not. All Ped & Co. can do is feed back these issues to the developer, with as much background info as possible, but I still wouldn't discount a local issue at your end.
22. To be fair to Ped, Chris... Basschat has been upgraded and there's no going back. Users have have had varying degrees of problems, and it's been frustrating, but more investment / effort on Ped & Co's part isn't really going to help. It's an off-the-shelf application, so assuming the hosting isn't an issue (which it doesn't seem to be, 'cos it's OK for some) all Ped & Co. can do is wait for an update to be released. All I can suggest is probably what's been suggested already. Clear your temporary files, try a different browser, disable your AV & Firewall to see if that helps.. etc.
