1.
Should be sorted now, I have turned email notification by default off for everything except PMs. ped
But... does that mean we'll not get any reply notifications?
2. Hola! I've just come home after being out for a few hours, and like a few others I have 70-odd reply notifications for about three threads. Is it fix-able..?
3. Whilst we're all in nitpicky mode, I also think the 'view new posts' screen is a little bit too spaced out - you have to scroll up and down it a lot more than you used to. Yes, I'm lazy.
4. I now seem to be getting an email for every reply... I need to tweak some more, I think...!
5. Yep... In the 'new content' list it would be nice to have the parent forums listed in a column, so you can scan down it for basses for sale, amps for sale, etc.
6. Dare I say some functions are running pretty slowly (for me, anyway). Searches are averaging 15-20 seconds, for example..?
7.
Yes, by default everything is turned off! I think generally people don;t want to be bothered by emails and notifications as they might see it as spam, especially with the new types available on the new site - it's easier to allow each user to add what they like. I just had a notification of this reply as a red balloon and I have been sending PMs which I choose to be notified of my email. Hope it's working for you now? Cheers ped
Yep- it's working now. Thank you! I see your point, but I assume new users have the chance to select whether they want to receive notifications or not. Current users would probably want the status quo maintained, I reckon...?
8.
Working for me. Make sure you tick the box next to the event type, too.
Ah - I've been through and configured what notifications I want. Is that by design? I would have thought reply & PM notifications would be best set to 'on' by default...?
9. Hmmmm... is anyone getting reply notifications? I've checked my settings and by default it's set to this: Auto follow topics I reply to. Notification frequency: Immediate ..but I'm still not getting anything. Also, i think 'view new content' is a little vague. IMO it should be renamed to 'View new posts'.
10. Cheers, O! You can't check preferences on an iPhone (which is a shame - can this be changed?) so I'll have a look when I fire the laptop up later. Also - another 'feature': When you click on a thread on the mobile site, there doesn't seem to be a way to go straight to the latest post. If there's a few pages you have to click through them all...
11. Morning, gang! I'm still not getting notifications... Should I be?
12. Are reply notifications working? I should have had a couple, but northing's come through...
13. Thanks for all your hard work, chaps!
14.
nice sound have a bump!
Thank you

16. Hmmm... It looks really like a modded MIA that Warwickhunt used to own (and Bottomendian before that, I think)... I really like the newer P's and J's. They look solid.
17. Here's my Roqsolid experience... excellent, it was.
18. This'll cheer you up, Pete - all taken from a local musician's forum: Subject: Nearly Dan 'Saw these at the sage last night, close your eyes and you would have thought it was Steely Dan. It's the 3rd time i've saw these and they just get better and better.' 'They were awesome, not enjoyed a gig so much as that for a long while. Brill musicians and great atmosphere !!' 'Loved every minute of it...........' 'Good night out. If your a fan go and see them. Superb. had a bit crack on with the singer at the bar and he was spot on.' Now cheer up, you miserable get.
19.
Just like Stock/Aitken/Waterman in the 80's or Simon Cowell today. I very much doubt whether it will be much listened to once the generation that grew up with it have passed on. How many people listen to Bing Crosby now? How many will in another twenty years time?
Maybe so, but Motown has a massive influence on a lot of important and up-and-coming artists of today. More so that SAW, I'd say. FWIW, I'm not a big Motown fan.
20. Fairy nuff.... I have no idea what Lady Ga Ga sounds like, or most of the new divas, for that matter. Apart from Rumer, who IMO is marvellous.
