  1. This sounds like one of them solutions to a problem that doesn't exist 😄
  2. Second one in, and our first ticket do. Nice full room, felt just like old times. Band still isn't 100% match fit yet, but we'll get there. Next up - festival tonight in North Northumberland.
  3. Hmmm… Creatively, Nash was always the junior partner. And after reading his autobiog, it’s clear he has a massive chip on his shoulder because of it. But… they’re all flawed people. They’ve all been tosspots at various times through their career.
  4. I dunno.. live, maybe. But he’s not on the first album, and his contributions to Deja Vu are limited. The latter two CSNY studio albums are largely execrable.
  5. My favourite CSNY moment. Four voices, four guitars, nowt else. So pure. And, unbelievably, it's a Nash tune.
  6. Assuming you don't do Spotify, this is a lazy answer but this would be a good starting place: Truth is, if you get the bug it's a bit of a rabbit hole as there's loads of great stuff in both the CSN(Y) and solo catalogues. And plenty of crap (mainly by Nash).
  7. Fine for me too. I suspect the issue is at @deepbass5's end.
  8. Finally... first gig tonight, almost a year to the day since the last one, and 17 months since the one before that. It was a wedding in a village hall in the hills south of Hexham. What a joy. Bar a few scratchy pots, the gear was spot-on, and the 71 P-bass I bought (what seems....) a lifetime ago finally got a run out. To my relief, it's seems to be a great one. I've got nine more gigs over the next month or so with various bands... it's wonderful to be back at it.
  9. To the OP: Yes. Lots of times 😄
  10. Lee Pomeroy - also seen with Take That, Steve Hackett, YES/ARW... amazing player.
  11. I like Ringo’s part on A Day In the Life - the song is off-the-wall, and it helps with the vibe. The fills are memorable. Let It Be’s just a mess. It’s like a rehearsal part where he tries something daft every few bars.
  12. TBH I think your mate is wrong, but that particular drum part is a stinker 50% of the time.
  13. True. But you can remix it.
  14. ...that said, I've always hated the drum part. Sorry, Ringo.
  15. 'Weak'. LOLz I think it's a great song (It's Let it Be, FFS) and I like the remix. If you like it, listen to it. If you don't, the old mix is still available.
  16. See also... Sounds cack solo'd, but the mix is where it matters.
  17. Terrible news. What a lovely chap. He'll be a huge miss.
  18. Eeew 😄
  19. As a previous owner of two(!) TF's, I can say IME the build quality is a cut above your standard Fenders... probably closer to CS. The circuit works really well, in that the balance between the P & J is spot-on... albeit switchable rather than blendable. That said, it took me two to realise I don't really like the J Fretless thing, so I sold 'em both and stuck with P-only fretlesses.
  20. Glad to hear it! I think you'll find 400w is more than enough.. we're talking proper watts here 🙂 As far as I'm aware, the drive bumps the input gain up 6dB, so if you've got your input gain set clean, hitting the drive switch might start to warm the edges up a little.
  21. Beautiful. Is that charcoal frost on the left? More pics please!
  22. They’re so busy gigging* they have no time to chat on the internet. *When it’s not Covid, obv
  23. Just checking you know there’s a GG in Edinburgh too… just in case there’s one there you can try.
  24. ...in other news, I've been working on a music doc which is being aired in the Autumn (more soon), and when it comes to budgets, licensing and the myriad of hoops that have to be jumped through, I'm amazed half these things get made in the first place.
