  1. For anyone who's dealt with Tommy before, word on the gata is that he's still aiming to get back to work. Appreciate he's going to have to graft to regain confidence, but I'm glad 'cos I talked to him a lot, and got pretty friendly with him. Let's hope he's building again soon.
  2. My stock answer to this: Most of history's iconic basslines involve a BBOT.
  3. If you custom-ordered a maple neck in the late 60s during the rosewood-only era it would have a maple cap. It was never a standard thing (until fairly recently, from the looks of it).
  4. The 66 slabs were known for a lot of quirky things, but they’re a drop in the ocean....
  5. Maple caps must be a relatively new thing... maybe on graphite reinforced necks?
  6. Ah, fairy nuff. In that case, it definitely looks legit.
  7. Looks good other than the maple cap isn't something I'd expect to see..?
  8. He was playing it fine. It was just an arrangement / mix choice, that’s all.
  9. He is playing it, but the keys are doubling it.
  10. It sounds like most bass solos, only longer.
  11. Aww... I was interested in one of his pedals on Reverb, but he's just switched off his messages. Now I'll never know 😞
  12. Wow.. he’s blocked me and my only connection to him is that I’ve posted about him on FB (without tagging him). He’s properly on the run.
  13. I think more than a generation. What I mean is that they also wrote a pretty authoritative guide on how to break up a band.
  14. Cheers! Flats had I been gigging. But... rounds sound nice when you're plunking around in the house, so I'll probably stick with those for now.
  15. One more little vid.. honestly man, it's SO EASY to play, and it resonates like it's alive.
  16. George recorded a lot of it (and played on some of it). They brought Phil in after a while to do a big curly poo on it.
  17. Hmm... I'm beginning to suspect this chap may not be as honest as he says he is.
