  1. Me neither. Music for people who think they like music.
  2. It's a scam.
  3. The Old Time Sailors made my stomach turn the first time I laid eyes on them. I feel vindicated.
  4. If it was a choice between £20 every few weeks for rounds, or £50 every decade for flats, I know what I would (and do) choose 😆
  5. Curious that the RI tuners are notched both sides..... 🤔
  6. I don’t think notched on the treble side is a thing in that era - just reissues?
  7. Based on nothing but a hunch, I'm inclined to agree.
  8. This is all very interesting stuff. I honestly thought the notch was a commonly known thing, but having Googled it… apparently not(ch).
  9. First one I looked at does 😃 https://reverb.com/uk/item/87116534-1964-fender-precision-bass-pre-cbs-vintage-bass-sherwood-green-riggio-w-paperwork-case
  10. Mixed sets? Got any examples?
  11. I don’t cut them.
  12. I haven’t seen many / any with a combination of plates. Always matching.
  13. T'isn't. 'A' tuner more commonly found in the early 60s.
  14. 'A' tuner is different to the others- possibly earlier.
  15. Custom order? Sorry to say it but I think you’re out of luck.
  16. Looks good - GLWTS, David.
  17. How much better can they be than the tried & tested likes of La Bella etc? Are the silks made from unicorn manes?
  18. My Maryszczyk Jake, factory PMM. All-passive, Vol / Vol / Tone. Nice and simple, well balanced, sounds immense. If anything happened to it, I’d get another.
  19. ...is their hearing shot, by any chance?
  20. We already know it’s a fake.
  21. ^^^ Ah… late 70s. That’s why I’ve never really noticed them.
  22. I’m confident the guard is legit. The tuners, though.. I don’t recall seeing those gaps at the bottom of the plate before..?
  23. It’s fair to say you’re easily entertained 😀
