  1. There's great Precisions too :-)
  2. IMO instead of desperately announcing big product launches for a redesigned pickup, Fender should just keep it simple. The line should consist of a 60s P, 70s P and a Modern P, in a big variety of colours, with special editions every now and then. Bob's your uncle.
  3. It was painful.
  4. Assuming you're talking about classic 60/70s Fender tort... you're out of luck. Spitfire do the closest repros I've seen, and the most expensive, but (IMO) they're not quite there.
  5. Yeah, inspired by what was going on in Vietnam.
  6. Is it? Gates of Delirium is..?
  7. Don't think of them as words. They're just a flow of consciousness. Or something.
  8. A Curious Feeling is a lovely album, let down a little by the production.
  9. Gah! It's all wrong!
  10. Ba-dum... tish!
  11. Yeah... maybe save that one until February 31st.
  12. Yep, loads of Yes songs are like that. Long Distance Runaround always sounded a bit twee to me, for example... but when the penny drops... Give South Side of the Sky a bit of time - it's worth the effort. Excellent progress. Close to the Edge, Awaken, And You & I and The Gates of Delirium lie in wait... 🙂
  13. It's lovely! Light and shade, innit.
  14. Topographic Oceans as mentioned (burn sides 2&3), but also: Genesis - We Can’t Dance Eagles - Long Road out of Eden That said, they wouldn’t be great single albums either.
  15. ...and, back on-topic, I've just finished this DVD which I bought for a couple of quid off eBay. I've read all the Yes books and that, but it adds a lot more and is surprisingly frank. Worth picking up.
  16. One for the Vine is marvellous. While we're OT, have we done this one yet? One of Rutherford's finest bass moments, I reckon. (note: It's not Many too Many)
  17. Oh - looking at it now, total scam. Report it.
  18. You know it’s an auction, right?
  19. Speaking of the Rabin years, did I ever mention the time I did this? Of course I did.
  20. I suggested this to Chris right at the top of the thread... have a look back through for his thoughts.
  21. Keep up at the back! 🙂
  22. Theoretically I should love Marillion. I do like some of it, but... what is it with them and their choice of drummers? Terrible. IMO.
  23. As Neil Peart once said: ‘Different hearts beat on different strings...’
