  1. Most of 'em, I think :-D
  2. It’s not about volume - it’s response and dynamics.
  3. Hence my comment earlier re: Gamechanger. The car radio amps aren’t doing it for me.
  4. Of course.
  5. Fixed it for you: 'This blatantly misleading marketing was only applied to the RH heads, but then they got found out so didn't do it anymore'. 😄
  6. The attack of the notes is a symptom, too. (I’m not going to use that word)
  7. Yeah, but over the years I’ve generally used old-school cabs, not BF etc.
  8. I’ve heard this a few times, and the bit in brackets is in line with what I suspect is at the root of this.
  9. That’s not my experience.
  10. This is the sticking point in the discussion, I think. Some notice this, others don’t.
  11. Yeah, pretty much. Everyone hears differently I guess, and the amp manufacturers want to market & sell what people want to buy (i.e. featherweight). FWIW, I've been back in A/B-land for years now, and unless someone comes out with a genuine game-changer, rather than the same old in a new frock, I can't see myself moving back any time soon.* *Other opinions are available

  15. I've seen a lot of chat about this over the last few days, but from what I can see it's limited to sharing recordings of music that you don't own. I think live performance / covers will be fine.
  16. I'm late to the party at this one. Interesting as always. Couldn't help but chuckle when he talked about adding an effect for the verse. You don't need an effect for that, mate.
  17. i.e. someone is being paid about a grand per instrument just to QC it 😄
  18. Honestly? I can't be arsed to read it 😄

  20. Just looking at the nice-looking blue PJ Metroline on there. I have a feeling it has Licensed Hipshots, rather than USA. If I'm right... scrimping on a £2200 bass? Dear me.
  21. That was my thought when I started this thread: ...but I'm tempted to merge it with this one.
  22. 100%.
  23. Personally I find it a little depressing at the moment, but it's cyclical.
  24. Maybe, maybe not. The thread is called 'When will you start gigging again?' Bluewine has answered that pretty explicitly. You're free to scroll on by...
