  1. Maybe, maybe not. The thread is called 'When will you start gigging again?' Bluewine has answered that pretty explicitly. You're free to scroll on by...
  2. ...which welcomes anyone from anywhere.
  3. And the beauty of it all is that he probably didn't think about any of it. He just did it 'cos it felt right.
  4. I'm sure they'd oblige if you ask them.
  5. There's something about the back of a 70s Fender headstock with the stamped tuners... yum.
  6. My P was just into four figures, but it has Gotoh Res-o-Lites.
  7. Understood. Keen to hear how it works out for you...
  8. I spent years on A/B, then I was an early class D adopter (back in the early 2000's). At first I thought they were great (so light!), and then fell out of love with one amp, then bought another, then another, yadda yadda. Different pre-amp, then another, etc. Then I began to notice that the hired-in / venue provided old-school A/B / Valve amps instantly sounded much better than whatever new-fangled car radio amp I had. Bought a Walkabout... sorted. A new class D came out that promised to be a new dawn in class D tone. So I sold the Walkabout and chased my tail for a while again. Realised I wasn't getting anywhere, bought another Walkabout. Found the HandBox R-400. Even better than the Walkabout. Tried the WB-100. OMG. But at the moment it's a luxury for me, so the R-400 does me just fine (and has for a number of years now). As soon as the gigs justify it, I'll get the WB-100. (Note: this was my journey. Yours may well vary.)
  9. Apologies - I'm not sure what your point is...?
  10. No sentimentality in my instance.
  11. "And if California slides into the ocean Like the mystics and statistics say it will I predict this motel will be standing Until I pay my bill..."
  12. It's blurry, but I think I can see Will Lee, Paul Schaffer (probably MD), Waddy Wachtel, Anton Fig, Felicia Collins and Sid McGinnis...
  13. I would agree* *Except poss Highway 61 by Bob Dylan
  14. He's singing that well, but they've 'average-pub-rock-band-ified' the backing. Surprising for a team of crack NY legends.
  15. Cool. Start a thread about it!
  16. It's a yarn. Nothing more.
  17. I'll never get bored of it - the words are fab. I'll quite happily listen to it over and over again, along with Desperadoes Under the Eaves and Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, and... etc. etc.
  18. What does this have to do with Werewolves of London, or Reggae..?
  19. Ahhhh... missed that one. Ta.
  20. I’m just curious about the connection. Different band, different song..?
  21. Sorry it upsets you.
  22. Nah, not at all. For a few weeks our music teacher let us bring songs in we liked, to play to our class. At the time, kids were bringing in Duran, Culture Club, The Smiths... when it came to my turn, the teacher pressed play on the cassette, and the opening chords of Supper's Ready chimed forth. Cue 23 looooong minutes of confusion / horror / boredom / delight* *Delete as appropriate, depending on your PoV
