  1. Here's the drummer: https://www.facebook.com/devon.taylor.58173
  2. Jesus. Music is getting blander by the day.
  3. Yes - hence my big fat belly. 😄 (I'm still not convinced it ain't pick, mind)
  4. Yeah - I like John (I’m on that thread too), but my ears tell me pick. But like I say, I seem to be wrong.
  5. I would have bet the farm on it, but apparently I'm wrong...
  6. I didn't know this, but now I do: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponk
  7. I would argue the ponk isn't mixed out - it's as it is on the isolated recording.
  8. Flats and muting (and, up for debate, a pick). Perfect.
  9. Forget what they sound like... do the silks line up? Ha ha
  10. Incredible thread(sic). I'm genuinely amazed that this is a thing.
  11. ...and it's a very easy lift. God's own amp, IMO.
  12. Hi all - I've merged a few similar threads into this one, 'cos It's probably more useful to have all the advice in one place.
  13. The (non-stock) pickup in my '73 P always felt a little bland. I had a Limelight pickup knocking about, so I thought I'd drop it in. It's very nice.
  14. Just spotted a load more 'past builds' have been added to the Limelight website... https://classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/limelight-custom-gallery/
  15. Basschat doesn't control market values, and nor should it.
  16. Is this fella staring at us out of the grain, or am I imagining it?
  17. Here's one I put together last week from phone footage. The track already existed, of course.
  18. Just for fun, I put rounds on my LPB P yesterday (yes, that's how bored I am). It sounded nice...
  19. Very nice! If you can forgive me for a nit-pick, I think he hits the A more often than the C# on the verse 🙂
  20. Cheers, Al. The song was recorded just before the restrictions came in. The drums were done at the drummer's house, the bass in my house (Handbox R-400 DI > cheap little Focusrite > Adobe Audition), and we sent the files to the guitarist. He just has a protools set up in a small room in his house, which is where we also did all the vocals, violin & accordion. I don't think he has any clever outboard stuff, just a few nice mics and a good ear. The video was necessitated by the restrictions - I put it together from mobile phone selfie vids, as you've probably guessed. In't technology marvellous?
  21. 01 Ever played a gig sitting down? Loads of times. 02 Ever gigged on a different instrument? Nope. I played a mandolin on one song once, but I was crap. 03 Ever shared a stage with a musical hero of yours? Yes, a couple of times. 04 Any fan ever had a tatoo of your band's logo? They're probably all a bit old for tattoos. 05 Ever signed an autograph in a dressing room? Yes. 06 Ever cried on stage? Yes. 07 Ever worn a hat on stage? Yes. Dunno why. 08 Ever gigged with a band you hadn't met before the gig? Yes. 09 Ever been in a relationship with a fellow band member? Yes. 10 Ever played in different bands on the same day? Yes - three. 11 Ever had anything thrown at you while playing? No. 12 Ever crashed on the way to the gig? Umm... the van rolled into a river on the way home from a gig. Does that count? 13 Ever left a band over the choice of set list? Yes. 14 Ever slept in the venue despite it not being a hotel? No. 15 Ever been supported by a band clearly better than you? God, loads of times. 16 Ever played a gig suffering from some debilitating medical condition? Yes. I vomited on a couple in the front row once. I'm not proud. 17 Ever been in a band where the guitarist was your favourite bandmate? Yes. 18 Ever played in the grounds of a stately home? Yes. 19 Ever injured yourself on stage? Kind-of. I fell off the stage at my first ever gig. 20 Ever been told that your bass isn't loud enough? Yes. I nearly cried with happiness.
