2. With a bit of luck everyone should be able to see this (you won't need to be on Facebook). Audio is straight from the desk and the video is from a digital camera. I've synced them up using magic powers. Enjoy! 3. I tried one out yesterday (the 70's jazz) and was mightily impressed - an excellent instrument. As everyone has already said a great sound and playability etc. I had the money and was going to buy it, but the tuning knobs weren't smooth enough! That is the only reason I didn't buy it. I feel like a bit of a plum really...
4. OK. I wanna try one for myself! Does anyone know anywhere in London that stocks the Jazz? If I buy it I'll need to be pointed in the direction of a DIY shop to buy some gaffa tape to cover up that embarrassing logo
5. If this was any more in the pocket it'd be a pair of socks.
6. Interesting. Thanks for your responses.
7. Cool. That's great stuff. Cheers
8. I'm always lending my amp out at gigs and kindly ask users that the active/passive switch is observed. I was not so diligent myself the other night and realised halfway through a gig I was playing my active bass with the amp in passive mode. Is there any danger that my amp could break if I play an active bass when the amp is in passive mode and visa versa? Why can't I just have 2 inputs (active and passive) instead of a bloody switch, which no one ever notices?
9. Sorry. I keep posting in the wrong forum.
10. Awesome. Norwich Arts Centre with my 11-piece funk band. Horns, backing singers, percussion and all that... Great gig with a great crowd in a great venue. Didn't quite sell it out, but the best gig in years!
11. My girlfriend hates you.
12.
i -*- beedster, thank you sooo much for your donation!!! gratitude enough? and just to be honest, i dont even remember you actually. but oh well, if you donated, you donated and thank you so much for that again ... -*- to some of you: now, i hope you'll get your money back or donate it to some charity ... or wait... maybe you would want your money back after finding out a Red Cross staff will actually use it to buy a toy for his middle income-grown kid? if that's how SOME OF YOU feel about things... please do the world a great favor and DO NOT DONATE.
- 1 Soo rude
13. I do this in one of my bands and it always goes down really well (1 or 2 people have even commented (positively) on my bass! ) It took me ages to get the feel OK without it sounding rushed, but I can't play it as well as this guy! It's also important to make sure it's not counted in too fast, otherwise I'm screwed. Great tune. Norman is The Man.
14.
OK Mates rates are a bit different. I'd bet if I phoned them for a little FoH + Monitors PA for a night it would be closer to £150
Before we got our own one, we would always hire one of these little Peavey PA systems (left-hand side pic - we use our own amps!), 2 mics, 2 stands and a couple of monitors for £25. It's not huge, but will do your vocals in most small/medium sized places. What you get for £150 quid? I hope it's loud! 15. Ouch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yioVmqlt2Fk This sounds like a bag of crisps, makes my teeth feel like I've just chewed tinfoil.

18. Fender Jazz 5 Deluxe (1996) Ashdown ABM 500 EVOII (2 years and never broken down!) Allan Gordon 1 * 15 Ashdown Mag 1 * 15 I've been through so many cabs it's ridiculous, but this is what I'll gig with till the end of the year and then I'll see. Recently sold an Ashdown ABM 4*10 which (IMO) sounded total pants. The Allan Gordon cab only cost me 30quid and I get loads of compliments about it! It must be at least 15 years old. Real dust...
19. How do I delete this?
20. Recently taken old looking photos...
21. Monthly blues gig at a pub in Norwich. Good laugh, but sometimes the quality of the music is questionable. That is until myself and the drummer do Rappers Delight and Hit Me With Your Rythm Stick, just drums and bass with the the drummer singing - awesome!
22.
Hi Nice price, just wondering how heavy this is? Cheers Graham
Thanks. I think it's a bloody bargain too! It weighs 36kg.
