1. For me that's a no brainer - Rosewood.
2. This thread is pretty much how I imagine conversations at The Sun go.
3. This thread contains the worst jokes on BC.
4. Real or spoof, either way, I'm not really in to it.
5. Selling your Mesa walkabout = madness.
6. The 25s were fine for my loud rock band. For the quieter function band I play in I could probably get away with 15s, but I'd rather not get another set of filters and save the £60. I don't feel disconnected from the music with 25s anyway.
7. 75 RI is getting my vote as well. I have a Jap one but I wouldn't say no to an American one.
8. I know what you're going through. I've got a '75 MIJ Reissue Jazz and a Stingray as well. All I can say is the Jazz gets so much more use. It fits me like a glove where as the Stingray can feel like I'm climbing a mountain. The Stingray has a fantastic tone and probably presents a better investment in the long run. I think you'll get used to the bigger neck, just give it some time.
9. I started on bass, but when I was very young I wanted to play drums. I leant to play the guitar about 4 years after starting bass. I still fancy myself as a bit of a drummer; actually, I just fancy myself.
10. Wicked stops, it's pretty heavy in places as well.
11. Here's a red Jazz Deluxe I had for a short time
12. Look at how dirty the finger board is!
13. I would love a sienna burst jazz from 84.
14. I think Hi-Beams and Sun-Beams are quite smooth for a roundwound string. IMO, obviously.
15. I've used Elites and Sunbeams on mine. Not sure I would want to put flats on it.
16. And about 2 weeks too late for me or i would have had one of those 400+
17. Yeah the neck's quite a change from a P bass. I had my T-bird set up really nicely about 3 years ago and I've not had to adjust the truss rod or alter the action since. Great stability in that sense. The bridge can be a bit of a pain to adjust as well, but once you’ve got it in the right position it’s rock solid.
18. So, will this be the Fender you keep?
19. Lovely bass Clarky, how are you finding it?
20. I didn't get on with the FM4 and I had no use for it, but I thought it's Mutron-styled setting was it's strongest point.
21. Does anybody else find that the Grolsch washers make their strap buttons unscrew?
22. IMO, the filter effects on the FM-4 are what it's best at.
23. A guitarist friend of mine has Tone Acquisition Syndrome (at least that's what I've been calling it). He’s forever trying different stuff to re-create that tone he has in his head. He's spent quite a bit getting there.
24.
Indeed! Good guess.
I saw you had mentioned Billingshurst in the post your pictures thread. There's 3 pubs in Billingshurst so it wan't to difficult. Nice Lakland.
25. Is that rig shot in the 6 Bells in Billingshurst?
