1.
HEHE a PM explaing all will be on its way to you but if you are looking for a mint condition 3EQ Stingray in natural then I know one coming up for sale
Does this mean you won't be selling your '75 Jazz?
2. I always fancied getting a Mesa one but I think the price will be crazy. Matamp? They did a one for tayste' 400+. Let us know what you find out because I'd be interested in the options.
3.
The thing about Zvex is that people do spend plenty-dosh because of their image, but from my (very limited) experience of them, the finish isn't designed to be trod on repeatedly for a decade.
Don't buy a bluebird Tremolo then. The finish won't last. great pedal otherwise.
4.
Danelectro pedals look crap, as do the Behringer ones. The old Ibanez Tube Screamers look pretty crap too. I don't like the look of Boss pedals either I really don't like the look of the Korg multi-effect pedals either... Lots of snobbery going on!
What he said.
5. That EBS rig looks sick.
6. I use the SFT for precisely this. Very good it is too.
7. Keep it Clarky! I have the same setup and I don't think I'll ever sell it. (Famous last words). I keep thinking about getting a Eden WTX260 or Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 to use with the extention cab when I fancy a change.
8.
I really should get some piccy's up of my newly acquired Les Paul
Yeah, you should.
9. The left one reminds me of a Jazzmaster. Cracking shape.
10.
The admins and mods take a lot of stick around here - Time to say "Good call and wise addition to the T&Cs guys"
Quite simply, +1.
11. This is a really good thread. My first giggable setup was a Japanese Fender Jazz '75RI into a Trace 715SMC combo. Both of which I got new in '97. I've still got and gig the Jazz bass among a few others. My friend has the Trace amp now and I have a Mesa Walkabout Scout with the matching extention cab if the gig calls for it.
12.
I've tried the odd CIJ and whilst the build quality was excellent they were much heavier.
The weight of my Japanese '75 RI is the only bad comment I can make about it. I'd love to get an American one as well.
13. I've already done a fair bit of buying and selling on the pedal front so far this year, that's all finished for the time being. There are lots of basses I'd like to try/own but I'm in no hurry to buy them this year. A Status S2 and a Rickenbacker being top of the list, but as I said I'll save those for later on in life. The only bass that I can see myself buying this year will be an American Fender Jazz to go with my Japanese ’75 RI Fender Jazz. I'm not desperately after anything at the moment though so if I do buy anything it'll be later on in the year.
14. If you're worried about bass leads I suggest you don't look into the running shoe market and all its false hype.
15. That would go nice with BurritoBass' brown Precision.
16. I got a Diago off ebay for about £30.
17. From what I've read the new ones come with the brackets as well. It may be worth sending PT an email to see if they can send you any. The only problem I can see after that is whether the older boards are angled enough for the power supply to fit underneath with the brackets. PT may have altered the newer boards to accommodate the PP2. Good luck.
18. Oh wait a minute, don't they have plastic covers on the front that you can remove and get in that way?
19. No idea, it's not my board. I found it on another forum. I'm not sure if the brackets were made for it or if PT make them. Either way, it's a good solution.
20. I've just posted this picture on the pedal boards thread. I think this is a good solution:
21.
That's probably the best PT Mini set up I've seen! Squash em up side by side as close as you can and I reckon you can get an octaver on there as well
Cheers Higgie. I've got an Octave Multiplexer but it's just a bit too big. Maybe I'll have a look around for something smaller. I may put my Phase 90 on there for the time being. Need to get my tetris skills on.
22.
Also just tried to mount the Fuel Tank underneith the board. It fits, but it sits in too deep between the railings so there's not enough room to fit the power plugs in... although it would work if I just put a bit of foam or something to lift it away from the board a bit... that way I could fit more on the board
I've seen guys cut out part of the railings on PTs to get the larger power supplies underneath. Seems to work quite well if you're willing to butcher your PT.
23.
don't know actual figures, but in it's (wheeled) flightcase i can get it into the van on my own. and out of the flightcase it has a tiltback/castor setup. after being used to neo 2x12's (at the biggest) i was genuinely suprised at how easy it all was to move around. haven't had any steps yet though!
Wheels make all the difference.
24. How heavy is that 6X10? My friend had a 4X10 and it was a bugger to lift.
