1. Yep, mine are tarnished too, although mine won't be 20 till next year. I'm not too fussed about it.
 2. After a spot of buying and selling in December and January I now have a second smaller board.
 3. I spotted this earlier today. Still really fancy the RD in the Gibson Porn thread with the binding round the body.
 4. What's the Abunai 2 like on bass?
 5.
Anybody got an Explorer, really Gassing one, I remember seeing MSG and they played ''Into The Arena'' wow SVT/Explorer OMG
There was an explorer on eBay last week. A white one if I remember correctly.
 6. I like that EB3. I not usually a big fan but that does it for me. I can't see the pictures of the '76 bicentennial...... Have to wait till I get home and see if it's the same.
 7. I don't like Ashdown or MarkBass stuff . I just can't get along with it and I've used both on so many occasions at gigs and at practice rooms. If you're interested in Mesa, GAK had a M-pulse 600 in there a month or so back. May be worth poping down and seeing what you think.
 8. The passive Warwick sounds suprisingly active.
 9.
The dirt on an instrument is NOT irrelevant, and it is NOT 'mojo'. It's just stuff that will kill your strings, knacker your pickups, and rust your metalwork. If that's what you want, well, it's your money and you will eventually spend more of it because of this attitude, in the same way as an abused car will inevitably cost more to run/MOT than a cared-for car.
Like my old man says; "Look after your car and it'll look after you".
 10. I try my hardest to look after my gear and keep it clean and tidy. Then odd knock will always happen and I'm gutted when it does. I don't understand why people abuse thier instruments in the same way that I don't understand why people would abuse their bodies with excessive drinking, smoking and drug abuse.
 11.
In fact we have the same taste in basses.....'Bird, Ricky, Jazz, Stingray
I don't have a Ric but I have the other 3. Thunderbirds look so cool in white.
 12. If I were a year younger and could sing like Tom Fletcher, I'd be all over this.
 13. Bollocks, I now want a EB2 and a RD Artist.
 14.
What's the recording setup?

Its played through my Genz Benz Shuttle 6 with the EQ flat and direct onto my minidisc recorder.
Come on Ped, keep up!
 15.
HEHE no worries. I think the Fender sounds nice and quite vintage.
Really nice selection of tones you have there. Your clips give a really good comparison between the four basses. And it's good that you played the same part for each clip. I think my least favourite is the Warwick, but that's just me. I need to spend more time with a Warwick, the only one I've played belongs to a friend and he's never changed the strings on it.
 16. Look at the binding
 17.
Here we go with my Les Paul Double Cutaway
That looks really bling.
The 76 bird has landed, I'll get some pictures up later
Very much looking forward to seeing some more of this one.
 18. Mostly have this set flat, but I love the 'Huge & Round' factory sample setting.
 19.
Why oh why did I have to be mates with Big Jim!
Big Jim Sullivan had quite a career. Crawley, hey? It's probably nicked.
 20. Get to a shop and try them. That's the only way you'll decide. probably not possible for the VT1 though. There's a lot of love for both the Sansamp and M80 on this forum.
 21.
My 1978 G-3's been in a thread already but what the hell: I think I'll get a black switch tip, that white one looks silly
I remeber this, didn't you put some of the metal parts in coke to clean them up?
 22.
Nice Thunderbird Alex. She looks like a minter
Cheers, it's not perfect, got the usual marks in the usual places you would expect on a Thunderbird. Just general playing wear, nothing major.
 23. Here's a fairly boring shot of my Thunderbird. And where can I get a EB2C from? That's lovely!
