11.
Yeap! I was having a major GAS attack over it, drool pouring out both sides of the mouth..........The Mrs told me to load up ebay and have a look in our watch list.......She'd bid on it, and won it!!!!   It's one of the 76 Bicentennials that was actually built in '77, going by the serial number. the bicentennial 'bird is my all time favourite bass!! Don't know that I would be brave enough to gig it though.....
I was half tempted by it as well. I wouldn't gig it though and I really like gigging my current Thunderbird. Gear Porn that as well please. Maybe we need a separate 'Gibson' gear porn page (if there isn't one already).
  12. Don't be silly. You need both.
  13.
Yep, don't tell me anything bad about it.......
I don't know anything about it. Though it looked rather tasty when I saw it on there though. Congrats, it still looks rather tasty above. Gear Porn it when it arrives if you'll be so kind.
  14.
That white 'bird looks lovely Speaking of ebay, I too am waiting for a 'bird to turn up in the post......Whoops, had a massive GAS attack, and have seriously hurt the savings account!!! It is my all time favourite 'bird though
Was it that 76 bicentennial one?
  15. Is that the one that was on eBay recently?
  16.
Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B
That's what I want.
  17.
So how come I got stung for my Turbo Tuner? That's considerably less than £135, even shipped cost
What were you changed on the Turbo Tuner, finbar? Just like to know what to expect, mine should be arriving this week..
  18. I don’t think I’m too bad when it comes to buying and selling basses. I like to try things out from time to time to see if I get on with them, but I won’t say I’ll never buy another bass. It’s a bit like saying; ‘Cheddar is my cheese of choice. I no longer need to try any other cheeses because Cheddar covers all my cheese needs.’ But how do you know if you like Stilton if you’ve never had it? You’re missing out on a taste revelation. So although I’m very happy with my current bass selection, and I’m pretty sure that a Jazz style bass is the bass for me, it would be a bit short sighted of me to leave it at that. I’ve never tried a Status for instance or a Wal, maybe one of those will be the greatest bass I’ve ever played.
  19. GAD? What's that? Gear Acquisition Disorder? Where your GAS gets to the point of being beyond a syndrome and becomes a disorder?
  20.
BTW, it's not "white", it's "with milk".
Whatever, still looks hot.
  21.
Nonsense!
Have you still got that white Warwick?
  22. I think it can be a bit hit and miss. All the pedals I've had in from the States have been marked as a total value of $25 in the shipping slip when they've actually cost $200+. A replacement scratchplate which cost me $40 I ended up paying a total of about £7 on top with import.

    mosfet

In the case of the Fulltone Bass Drive MOSFET, there's a switch on the top that lets you select the standard circuit or the MOSFET circuit. If there isn't a huge difference in price then you may as well go for the MOSFET version and have the best of both worlds.
  24.
'Twas Thunderthumbs, don't remind me and don't put more pictures up please, its upsetting, Thunder himself has sensitively not put her in the porn thread I don't think.
Sorry mate. At least you still have that avatar, it's just as pretty.
  25. I'll buy a custard cream pedal.... and a cover drive.
