I've been tempted by a phase 45, not sure if the difference but that and my phase 90 will be that much of an issue though.
-
It's a great design. My Stingray is the only bass I have which isn't a pain in the arse to adjust.
-
That is an absolute icon of a bass you have there. Little bit jealous.

Fodera Yin Yang - what do people think aesthetically?

I think they're fugly. -
Sold FS/FT Boomstick Bottom Feeder. It's in fantastic condition, the marks you see on the paintwork in the photo is the glitter in the finish. Velcro on the bottom. It's a MXR size box with two knobs, input, output and 9 volt power input jobbie. Also takes a battery. Pretty standard affair. I bought this from Monz earlier in the year. Tayste_2000 left quite a bit of info about the pedal on the original thread so here's a c&p (hope he doesn't mind):
Ok so here is some background on these pedals: The Boomstick Bottom feeder made under the Boomstick brand for a while before moving to Mojohand range as the 442 red where previous to all this it had been the Tone Factor 442 Red, these pedals were actually made for me when I asked for a 442 that was better on bass so a few mods were made and one of the best simple filters was born, I 2nd this pedal only to my Subdecay Prometheus but that's a very heft pedal and can be difficult to figure out this one is very simple and sounds like this http://www.grygrx.net/Pedal%20Reviews/Tone.../442%20Slap.mp3 http://www.grygrx.net/Pedal%20Reviews/Tone...42/TF%20442.mp3 http://www.grygrx.net/Pedal%20Reviews/Tone...k%20Sparkle.mp3 Enjoy
There's a couple of these floating about in the marketplace at the mo so I'll match the cheapest price at £50 posted (£55 if you're not mainland UK). I'm also after a few bits so open to trades on the following: Keeley Fuzz Head Blue Bird Tremolo Boss OC-2 Fulltone Bass Drive Crowther Hotcake Maybe some other fancy fuzz/dist (not digital) Cheers. EDIT: should probably add that it's a filter pedal.

"What’s that Mr. Promoter; you want me to supply my backline for the other bands? …..Oh bugger, all of a sudden I won't be able to get my amp to the venue, I'll be using my SansAmp DI thingy-ma-jig instead and going straight to the desk. Sorry, but at least your sound man will be happy!" - That's pretty much my response.

Fender Jazz.

What are you listening to right now?
harvey1-8 replied to Sarah5string's topic in General Discussion
Playing along with some Townes Van Zandt at the mo. -
...but seriously there £1400 + now..
There was one in GAK at the weekend, natural/rosewood that was just shy of £2k.

The early 90s Stingrays are cracking basses. Love the colour as well.

I love them, they're quite unique. Sadly mine isn't seeming much action these days since the originals band stopped. Check the bands myspace (Without Warrant, link below in sig), the first 6 tracks on there were recorded with a Gibson Thunderbird.
Bass Direct will ship to Ireland and his prices are very reasonable. Mark stocks a huge amount of high end equipment and is very helpful when it comes to finding the right thing for your requirements. Check them out… http://www.bassdirect.co.uk
+1 on that, Mark's got a second hand LMII on there which would be worth a look.

I ordered a Celestion G12H last night for my guitar amp. I fudged the last one when I got a bit too adventurous with swells on the delay pedal. Oops!
-
I have 4 basses. 75% of the time it'll be my MIJ Jazz. The others get a look in from time to time. Played the P bass last night.

Jesus! That's changed around a bit since I was last on here. I see you've ditched the MXR Ocatve Deluxe and reverted back to the OC-2. I want to get an OC-2 for comparison to see which I prefer. Cracking board mate.
-
I take: - 3 instrument cables - 2 speaker cables - 4 way - Extension lead - Sansamp - XLR cable - Assorted screwdrivers - A5 pad and pen I think that’s it. Bass spares like strings I keep in the bass hard case/gig bag. Pedal spares I keep in the pedal board bag along with ear plugs.

After reading the OP, I miss playing in an originals band.

I bought a pedal from Theo. Easy as 1, 2, 3. Many thanks.
Dammit, its too short notice! Enjoy the gig mate
Thanks, I hope I will.
I'm not a fan of the acoustics in the new Wembley stadium compared to the original. Saw the Foo Fighters there and it was acoustically awfull, and the support bands were inaudible. I gather it sounds better on the ground, so good luck who ever get's them.
I saw Muse at Wembley when they did the first one and the sound was pretty good from what I remember. I saw Foo Fighters there as well (from the pitch) and the sound was crap. So bad I almost walked out. Hopefully it'll be good this weekend, at least better than the shoddy BBC mixing from the Glasto highlights.
Going the day before with a mate for his bday, if they were my tickets i'd sell them and buy these, you get Biffy Clyro and we get Lily Allen........
You also get The Big Pink who are the worst live band I saw last year. For anyone else interested Saturdays support bands are: Biffy Clyro // White Lies // I Am Arrows. I've got a few people I know interested but the tickets are going on a first come, first serve basis. If someone on here pulls the trigger then they're yours. I'm not doing favours or holding out for people I know or friends of friends who can't get their acts together. Peas and love and stuff, Alex.

SOLD ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hola Bass Fans! A couple of mates have had to pull out of the Muse gig this Saturday at Wembley so I have 2 standing tickets going. I paid £49.50 all in per ticket and that's what I want for them. I have the tickets in hand. I'll post them next day special delivery at no extra cost. I'm happy to do paypal, bank transfer or cash if you want to meet on the day. PM me if you're interested and I'll get back to you ASAP (although probably not tonight as I'm about to head out). If anyone wants a picture I'm happy to pop one up. Cheers, Alex.

Do you consider yourself a BASSIST or a MUSICIAN?
harvey1-8 replied to xilddx's topic in General Discussion
I also see from your last two sentences that despite my protestations to the contrary, you still think I called you a child and are now taking names to yourself, and you think I have put myself on a pedestal. You are wrong.
By sand box I mean development server. Sorry, should have made that a bit more clear. -
Oh dear. No I'm not, not that being called a child should be taken a certain way. I meant not being picky about language means you can only communicate in a basic manner. However, your response clearly illustrates the importance of being picky about language.
I found your last comment quite offensive. I’m just saying, to me there’s no point agonising over whether you prefer being called a bassist or a musician. Does it really matter? Let me know when you’re ready and I shall retrieve the step ladder so as you may dismount your pedestal. I'm off to play in my sand box.
