1.
But, I definitely want a Custom Shop Fender in my life....
+1 on this, I'd love a CS Fender. It'd be a jazz, but that's as far as I've got with deciding on spec.

3. Hampstead Heath (close to the meat).
4. It kind of annoys me how effortless they make it look.
5. I went from a 410 to a 212. I'm back with a 410 now and much happier. Try 12s in the shop, see how you get on.
6.
I was listening to this as well today, it's a quality album, I've never heard of the two bassists but the main one is Eric Appapoulay and Jodi Milliner on track two... Both are very groovy fellas. Eric is one of the producers on the record...
Good detective skills Urb.
7.
Hmmmm Stu Hamm, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Alain Caron, Marcus Miller, Adam Nitti, Jeff Schmidt, Jonas Helborg, Micheal Manring etc.. of course THEY don't widdle on bass
Top Tip: You should never widdle on your bass, save that for the toilet.
8. Totally suprised these amps have lasted 4 weeks......
9. I'm going to PM you some details on my Precision.
10. No idea, but one of the bands I'm in does 'She Said', cracking bass line.
11.
Go on - you know you want to really
I'm about 20 mins away from Guildford as well, which isn't helping.
12. I'm trying to resist offering up my 70s Precision for this...
13.
.... you have to approach it ....
By that I don't mean sneak up on it from behind or anything.... Although, that might make it more interesting.
14.
I get this all the time in retail: 'I'd like to play guitar but I've heard bass is easier.'
This winds me up a bit as well. People see a bass, and they think it looks like a guitar, and 4 strings = easier. They're wrong, it's a completely different instrument. It has a different purpose and you have to approach it and play it in a different manner. Edit for spelling.
15.
Played this at a jam session today: Last time I take a board without a delay  I need to get a PT mini for times like these...
How is the Hot Cake on bass?
16.
Having the volume turned down on my bass is a favourite of mine! .......... I once stepped backwards halfway through a gig and trod on my bypass tuner, thus immediately muting my sound!
These two for me.
17. That's quite a change from the 3 blondes you had.
18. Apparently he’s not too fond of bass players either.
19. Or an LH500. I bypass the graphic EQ on my 400+.
20. Here's my MIJ '75 RI Jazz which I bought new in '97.
21. There doesn't seem to be much Thunderbird love these days.
22.
I had a US JB2 for a couple on months. It's interesting to see the post above commenting on the powerful pickups, as my experience was the opposite. In terms of output the pickups in mine did not produce the same output as a typical Fender Jazz pickup, but it did seem to have a wider frequency response and a larger dynamic range than a Fender pup. They seemed to be less prone to hum as well. I liked it a lot, but the one I had did suffer from a bad dead spot across three frets on the G string. They are very comfortable to play, and the one I had was the lightest jazz I've ever had, at a shade over 8lb.
I was playing the JB2 through a cranked RH450 (I say cranked, it was more like half, still bloody loud). The pickups seemed to be very powerful, but then I was using an unfamiliar amp at high volume.....
23. I've played a JB2. It was a very nice bass. The pickups were very powerful, a lot more so than my Jazz.
24. iPhone shot of the Walkabout earning its keep last night. Looking forward to the 400+ getting a couple of outing next week.
