  1. I also had a go at a mk3 clone, but I was more interested in the shape than mimicking the true Wal sound. But saying that, I did use Walbuckers and Lusithand preamp just out of curiosity. It’s a truly powerful bass for sure with lots of tonal variation on tap
  2. This amp really is killer! I’m really pleased with mine.
  3. I’m getting it Monday, so I’ll give you my thoughts! How much are they new?
  4. Does anyone own one of these? The cons could be upper fret access and neck dive. Apart from that, is it a great bass? I may be acquiring a heavy relic one blind.
  5. Ok so if the cabs are stacked with the array horiz as it’s meant to be, it still means the four woofers end up in the non preferred arrangement. I assume this won’t matter?
  6. Bill I thought you’d mentioned in the past that four 10’s woofers in the conventional 410 arrangement isn’t as good a 210’s stacked vertical. So with 210 cabs that don’t have a tweeter array, is that the case?
  7. I’ve read many explanations why stacking a pair of 210 cabs vertically projects better than horizontal. But, will this work ok for a pair of Genzler 210 cabs with the array of teeeters? Shifting the cabs in a vertical position makes the array horizontal.
  8. I nearly bought that! I ended up with the Streamette LTD! The KS is a fine looking bass!
  9. It’s the best headless solution in my opinion. I’m using the system on a current build, and I’ll be using on a 10 string fretless upcoming build.
  10. It is a very odd name, but not as odd as this…
  11. Yup I’ll get them over to you
  12. I do. Let me know your email address and I’ll send them. I can do PDF or DWG/DXF.
  13. Nothing wrong with my playing technique. The 5 strings (on the ones I have seen) have been off center, with ample space on the B. Construction or design flaw.
  14. If you go for a newer 18v 5-string check how close the G is to the fingerboard edge. And you can’t loosen the bolts and yank the neck!
  15. Great looking bass Loudspeaker. If I can sell my Sadowskys I’m considering getting a Django 5!
  16. The body is aluminum, hollowed out in places, with a carbon fiber cover. The front is an effect to look like flame.
  17. I’ve been curious for a while. Certainly sounds like they deliver the goods!
  18. Their cabs are very unique! Does it sound good?
  19. I just took delivery of my Masterbuilt Alusonic J-Supreme. These are outstanding basses and definitely worth checking out! It has a great modern hifi sound and doesn’t need lots of tweaking with the 3 band eq. You guys have the luxury of going to Bass Direct to check them out, but I took a chance and totally relied on many discussions with Polly the owner of Alusonic to get the custom spec I needed. I’m going to sell my Sadowskys to finance another!
  20. I’ve played many new 5 string Stingrays and a few had string alignment issues, G too close to the edge. And the old trick of loosening neck bolts and pulling the neck didn’t work as there was zero movement in the neck pocket. Not an issue with 4 stringers.
  21. I have a Metroline Will Lee 5 and also rate this as the best ‘jazz’ I’ve owned. Build quality cannot be improved upon. Being built at Warwick it has invisible fret ends. You don’t get that on the NYC’s.
  22. In other words, how deep does the neck sit into the body 🙂
