1. Thank you Sir!
2. Hey, its been a very long while since I was active here. I took a long hiatus from bass playing since moving to Canada, but I am now back into it, in a band, and also back making basses. Life is good! Anyway, it has been fun shopping for bass gear again and after trying lots of amps I still prefer GK over anything else. Speakers - tried lots, and initially I though I ought to get GK so I can use the bi-amp. But a bass amp with a 6k crossover is next to useless! So I decided to make a pair of BFM Jack 12 speakers. They have 2k crossovers and BGH-25 horns. Tricky to make, but worth the effort! Couldn't resist painting the grilles!! 3. Best to look at pics on their website...http://www.epifani.com/products/UL_902C.php Price 1500 pounds. Thanks!
4. Aha a price would help! Thanks for pointing that out. I will take some pics tonight and get them added.
5. Drastic, I know, but I am retiring from playing live and focusing on building. So, my UL-902C has to be sold. It is totally mint, and has been in a soft rack case from day one. Includes footswitch. Absolutely no issues. Tons of power and headroom. Originally purchased from The Gallery, but now resides with me in Canada. I am visiting the UK at the end of March and if someone definitely wants it, and is happy to pay a deposit, I will bring across. Sensible offers please. Cheers Ian
6.
Mmm, I bet you wear very comfortable shoes.
Ha ha! Yes I do, thanks for enquiring.
7. I reckon a lot of the sounds will have subtle differences and in a live situation you won't hear the differences between a lot of them. I bet you could count the number of decent tones you can get out of it on one hand. Another post-NAMM gimmick!
8. Oh no not more warwick blandness
9. I can't speak for the 75 RI, but I had quality problems with my imported Deluxe QMT 5-string. Poor neck pocket, ill fitting rear control cover, screw missing from one tuner, pickups too low and couldn't be raised (had to take out and pack beneath). I can say that in comparison the Crafted in Japan ones are perfect. I bought two and they had US pickups and hardware, but fit and finish was spot on. You should try get a CIJ one.
10. I don't think you can compare anything to Behringer to be honest! I used to have the non-neo 411 and 115 and apart from the HF horn blowing the first time I tried it I found them to be as good as anything else I've owned. I only sold them because they weighed a ton. And IIRC there was no fuse for the horn, so you may want to check the neos out for that.
11. You need the XST not the XLT, in my opinion. They go deeper, and the cabs have higher power handling. I have a 210XST and use it beneath my Epi 212 to reinforce the low end!
12. Didn't they used to do a 600w Landmark? I'd be tempted if they did a 600w version of the VT
13.

Hilarious
14.
Are you saying the vol/power is greater with separate leads out to each cab?
It shouldn't make any difference. The speaker sockets on the amp are wired in parallel just like the ones on the cabs, so the end impedance is the same whichever way you go.
15. The basses in my avatar are all through-necks. I glued the wings onto the neck with a slight back rake, and then sanded down the neck portion to make the whole face flush. And similarly on the back I had to sand the whole thing flat again. You need to factor for these sanding reductions when sizing your wood. Cheers
16. Hey Dan, Holy crap that looks stunning!! That's the best finish I've seen on one of my bodies. Did you spray it yourself? How does it play & sound? Fantastic job! Cheers Ian
17.
Doesn't change anything.
Surely you wouldn't pay import duty on a secondhand bass?
18. I've built a Jazz style bass with an EMG MM pickup at the rear and a CS at the front. I've got an Audere 3-band pre, and it is really flexible. The preamp has a passive tone as well as the 3-band, so I can get all sorts of tones. The MM pickup is a monster! Good luck with the mods.
19. What was the technical bollock he dropped? I watched part of the vid and most of the cabs sounded the same through my headphones!
20. Holy crap JTUK, what a great avatar pic!!!!
21.
Hi there..I'm new here but i also have similar problem with my TITAN V12 bass head. Could you tell me what did the techs do with your amp to sort the limiter issue.? I'm sending e-mails to mesa techs and trying this way also. Thanks
Sorry - I've only just seen your reply to the thread. I didn't even bother trying the head again after they 'modified' it. Apparantly the tweaked the circuitry to reduce the limiting effect. I don't believe they should even have attempted this on a new head. It would have better to have a defeat switch on the front. On a side, I recently tried a Carbine M9 head and it seemed so potent with a great tone. It could be I was just unlucky with the head and there was something else wrong to make it get so hot, and run out of power. The whole episode turned me right off Mesa gear though. Good luck with yours.
22. Ignore the fact that I'm in Canada - it might still work out better than buying one in the UK. I have a brand new, unused Eden 210XST with brand new heavy padded cover made by Tuki Covers in the US. The cab is 4-ohm, 500w RMS and handles the lowest frequencies out of all the Eden Range. The cab is boxed and ready to ship. I am looking for 450 GBP excluding shipping. I have no idea what shipping costs will be! Cheers Ian
23. I tried finding a website - can you post a link?
24. By far the worst was a Warwick Thumb 5-string through neck. Neck dive, neck dive, neck dive.
25. I had one for a very short while, and it is not a loud amp in my opinion. And I was using with a 1x15 and 4x10 in a pub rock covers band, and we weren't blisteringly loud. If you're stuggling with your volume and the rest of the band are playing at normal gigging levels then you'll never be happy with it. Time to change it me thinks.
