    Yup, that’s the plan. I’m still waiting for the pickups and once I know the fit nicely I’ll do the copper. I run a ground from each pickup cavity, and bridge, and then ground everything to cavity shielding. It’s the only way to do it effectively.

    My plan at the start was to make it blue, but the maple had quite a dark red/brown hue, and a test piece didn’t take stain the way I wanted.

    Still waiting for the pickups! But found time to sand and buff. I’m loving the flame!

    Yup! I believe only 4 string bridge just now, but hoping for a 5 sometime in the future.

    Urethane I think. Yeah I know the real ones are aluminum.

    I came across a guy that pressure moulds them. They aren’t cheap though

    Not a lot of progress, but just seeing how it looks with the knobs. Body still needs sanding and buffing.

    No more progress! I’m still waiting for the pickups to be finished.

    Thanks! I’m using WURTH Euroclear 2K. I use the 4:1 version and not the 2:1 it builds very well, and buffs great.

    Frets are in the 10” to 14” radius fingerboard.
